Dr. Darlene Nigro, DO

Dr. Nigro has been my fathers PCP for years and she is the reason he is still here today after runaround with Carilion doctors. She is now mine and I’m in need of carpel tunnel surgery and recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She actually called to check on me after diagnosis. My 22 year old daughter has started with her and she spent a lot of time with her! SHES AMAZING!! Just remember people, you get what you give and all health care systems have problems these days. We are in times where EXTRA GRACE IS REQUIRED

Dr. Nigro is the reason I am alive and well. Her attitude and skills are outstanding. She diagnosed a serious medical condition and had me transported to the hospital and with that action, I am alive today.

used to like Dr Nigro, but as of late, been going else where because can't get in just spent 15 minutes on automated system before someone picked up.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Nigro. I 100% believe that I would not be here if not for her thoroughness. She has been an awesome Dr. for me and while there is usually a wait at her office, she has never rushed through an appointment and always makes sure I do not have any questions before leaving the room. I have relocated from the area and having to find a new doctor as great as she is will definitely be a challenge.

3 out of 4 appointments I've had with her she has been over an hour late and rushed through my appointment. One of the times she admitted it was due to a personal phone call. Very unprofessional and not paying attention since she is in a hurry. I would avoid her.

I refuse to see Dr. Nigro ever again. My cancer went undetected for months under her care even though I was very ill.. She just kept putting me on antibiotics. . Be very careful if you see her and be sure to ALWAYS get another doctor's opinion. I tell all my friends and family NOT to see her.

I have been seeing Dr. Nigro for more than 5 years. She is intelligent and engaged. She listens to your questions and takes the time to give clear answers. If she doesn't know something, she's not afraid to look it up in front of you so she can give you the best information available. When I first began seeing her I was impressed that she was knowledgeable about my son's rare condition, and current on the research. She is a bit of a whirlwind. Her mind works very fast. Love her.

I have had tests ran and have been trying to get the results. I have asked repeatedly that they call me on my cell phone, but, they keep calling my home phone. I am not home. I am at work. Do not understand the imcompetence of Centra. I am very angry at this moment.

Recently moved here from Manhattan,NYC.Dr. Nigro was recommended to me by a surgeon from Lynchburg General.I was amazed by the amount of time she spent with me discussing my health history.She was vey knowlegeable of my past ailments,in NYC it is 15-20 minutes and next patient. She recomended a cardiologist who was also great.I would recommend her to anyone needing an excellent Internest/GP.

Judgemental... extremely long wait time. Not too much to choose from in this small town, but I wouldn't recommend her!
