Wonderful man. Wonderful surgeon!!
One year ago today Dr. David Brown and our Lord saved my life!!! I did not have an easy surgery. More complications once he opened me up. Things were not looking good for me. This wonderful Dr. stayed with me most of the night worried that I may not make it. The Lord was not ready for me yet and he guided Dr. Brown's hands through the surgery. First and foremost I thank the Lord I am still here with my family and friends and of course the sweetest kindness man I know....Dr. David Brown. God Bless You. Wanda Overcasher 1-24-2025

Pleasant and informative.
Received open heart surgery on June 6, 2022. Dr. Brown did an excellent job with valve repair and bypass surgery. He and his staff were pleasant and kind. I felt like I was in good hands and received excellent care.

Saved My Life
Dr. Brown saved my life in 1993. I was diagnosed with "large" cell lung cancer. The cancer specialist seen originally gave me 4 to 5 months to live. The pulmonary Doctor recommended I see Dr. Brown. Dr. Brown was every thing you want in someone about to save your life. He explained how he would check to see if I "could" have to tumor cut out, giving me any chance to survive. I woke to only having one lung and have lived almost 30 years now, thanks to him and that pulmonary Dr. I know he does not "do" lungs anymore, but if I had a heart problem, he would be someone I'd trust. My experience with Dr.Brown and his entire staff was excellent.I remember Dr.Brown explaining to me,in some detail, what had happened to me,and then ,what he planned to do to fix it.Then,he looked directly at me and proceeded to tell me how he expected me to adjust my lifestyle, so as to allow me benifit of this entire grueling procedure. Well, Dr. Brown did what he said he was going to do and I made the choice to listen to Dr. Brown! And the result of this ? I’m alive, enjoying my family and in good health. Thank You, Dr. David Brown. Sincerely, Fred L. Holasek. Holmes Co. Ohio

Dr. Brown operated on my brother in Jan, 2020, and did a fabulous job. He even spent the night to watch over him after surgery, so was available when it was discovered an additional repair was needed. My brother, Mark, has now fully recovered, and his current doctor said he never expected him to be in this good of shape. He was so lucky to have gotten Dr. Brown!

Dr Brown and his staff were very professional, understanding, and caring both pre and post procedure. He explained the procedure clearly and what to expect. He was on time during his rounds and asked if I had any concerns. He explained clearly the medications and assured my wife and I that I was doing well. Prior to my discharge, his staff, in conjunction with the ICU nurses, clearly explained what I needed to do daily during my recovery at home. Dr Brown has a 24/7 hotline for any questions or concerns. A member of his staff would contact me as to the INR and instruct me on the dosages. Upon discharge from the hospital, I was given a complete schedule of follow-up appointments as well as home health visitations. I have been released following my 6 week check-up. I recommend Dr Brown and his staff to anyone needing a cardiovascular surgeon.

The ONLY complaint I have is that Dr. Brown never saw me again. His PA's did, and they are great, but he never saw me after I left the hospital. Best possible care you could ask for from ALL of them! I appreciate them all very much!

From my initial consultation with Dr. Brown through my recovery process post surgery, I was totally satisfied with not only the communication but also with the professional yet personal contact I received. I was greeted every morning by Dr. Brown and his staff who took their time to explain my status and plans for the day. Dr. Browns physicians assistants Jessica and Brian were truly professional and went above and beyond as far as my care. The entire nursing staff was phenomenal.

Dr. Brown did an excellent job in explaining why I needed bypass surgery. He explained the cause and answered questions we had as to the need for the surgery. His confidence and professionalism made the experience much easier to go through. His leadership qualities are reflected in his staff and all the members of the CVICU at Ohio Health. I received excellent care and have no doubt Dr. Brown and his team are the best, based on my experiences. I thank God, Dr. Brown and his staff.

Dr. Brown was very professional and he tells you like it is...like it or not. He takes a lot of pride in what he & his staff do. He explains your problem, how he will fix it, and what to expect afterwards to ensure you have the best possible recovery. He & his staff are wonderful...they truly care and make you feel like you're their only patient. He and his staff were always available when needed. I could not imagine having surgery anywhere else.

I want to thank Dr. Brown and his staff for wonderful care during and after my heart valve repair. My wife and I were very impressed with how everyone in the ICU and his office worked in such a coordinated way to help me recover. We had planned on going to the Cleveland Clinic but chose Ohio Health instead. We are so glad we did. Thank you, Dr. Brown and staff.

My mom came to Dr. Brown in the last stages of an extremely diseased and damaged heart due to negligence of other doctors and her own neglect. But Dr. Brown was upfront and gave her her options and let her choose surgery or to just let it go..either way, it was grim. She opted for surgery and she never recovered..but not because of the surgery, but because she was so ill in the beginning. Dr. Brown never gave up on her, he never took her hope away..he cared for her as if she were his own mother.
