Dr Cech deserves 5 stars
Dr Cech saved my life. He did a complete resection of a SCT, Spinal cord cancerous tumor. This was back in December of 2015. To this day no regrowth or cancer has returned (ThankGod). After intense therapy I was able to walk on my own again. Everything is almost back to normal except for me being disabled. God Bless Dr Cech!

Dr David Cech saved my life .I had back/neck pain for years after a car accident. My pain was so severe and nothing could relieve it. I was referred to him by a wonderful Nurse practitioner Dec 2017. He did my surgery after 6 physicians had refused to help me. All of them pushed me to pain management. In short turning me into a zombie. I never took any and God heard my prayers. Am pain free after 6 years plus and am very greatful. Dr Cech made my case a priority after reading the MRI. May God take care of him and give him a long healthy life. ??

Dr Cech misdiagnosed me and did a surgery that wasn't needed nor did it help. I took in imaging and he told me it was not done correctly and I paid an enormous amount to have new imaging done at Methodist at his request just to find out every doctor I spoke with said the prior imaging was done correctly. I kept following up and he was stumped and had no answer for why he did a surgery that did nothing. He said I didn't need a fusion and it wasn't my SI Joints but another Dr saw me and did a fusion on L4/L5 & left SIJ and did that ever help. Dr. Cech is a its his decision his way or no way and I regret I ever listened and trusted him. I spent thousands of $$$$ and wasted my time over being misdiagnosed and told he could fix my back issue. Personally I had a horrible experience with Dr. Cech. He wanted a CT Myelogram and because my ins would not do exactly what he wanted, I was ignored and never helped again. He would not help me over ins reasons nor explain to the ins company.

My first contact with Dr. Cech was great. He did a laminectomy with precision and I had an extremely easy recovery with great results. I was able to get flexibility back and able to turn my head left to right with ease. My 2nd contact with him years later was quite disappointing and unprofessional. When I called his office and discussed my situation, I was given an appointment to see Dr. Cech. When he spoke to me for a couple of minutes during my appt, he walked out and never came back. A nurse then came back to the room to let me know he said I shouldn't have had an appointment made for me and should see a different type of doctor. I was amazed at the rudeness of Dr. Cech. If his staff wrongly scheduled me to his clinic after a long wait to get in to see him, it was his responsibility to explain this to me and APOLOGIZE for wasting MY time. Yet, his focus was on himself and made it seem I had wasted his time. Arrogant behavior...a very skilled surgeon with a bad bedside manner.

After seeing Dr. Cech for a second opinion, he performed a double, cervical laminectomy on me in the spring of 2005. At that time, I had lived with constant, burning pain for over 20 years. During our consult, he made me aware, that I could expect to have issues in the lower areas of my cervical spine in the future, but that he could help me with the chronic pain that I was living with. I'm from Corpus Christi, the surgeons here, were going to cut my throat practically from ear to ear, then fuse my spine. Recovery time would have been about a week in the hospital and six months to heal after that. Dr Cech made a small 1.5" posterior incision at the base of my neck, and I was in and out of the hospital in one day. Two weeks later, I returned to work. My pain has been 90-95% relieved for 14 years. Now, after a year of pain from the discs that he initially warned me about, I am returning to Dr. Cech. I trust him completely, and my husband and I are looking forward to seeing him again!

Dr. Cech performed a spinal lamenectomy on me on September 11, 2002 and I have been and am still feeling and moving great. I am about to arrange an appointment for my wife who is having shoulder issues between her c-6 & c-7 disc. I am certain that if it's possible Dr. Cech can make her pain free as he did for me many years ago. Thank you Dr. Cech

The most amazing Dr EVER! Don't expect Dr.C to be on time or explain things in detail. But trust Dr C knows what he's doing & has YOUR BEST INTEREST, NOT his pocket book, as his primary concern. He is the BEST doctor! He may not explain things well & his primary concerns are surgery & trauma patients but he will always make sure each patient has the absolute best results & is extremely conservative. 2 neurosurgeons wanted to fuse 5 of 7 cervical vertebrae. He took the time to reconstruct them

Dr. Cech saw me twice for neck and spine issues. I was experiencing extreme pain and all he did was refer me to other doctors. He never even prescribed any meds even though I was in pain. He could have but did not prescribe physical therapy, but rather referred me to another doctor who specializes in physical therapy. I had already been to 3 doctors and did not want to go to another, especially someone he recommended.

Dr. Cech has performed 2 highly successful back surgeries on me. Without these surgeries I would not be walking and have debilitating pain. You will have to wait to see him, but it is well worth it. He is highly respected by nurses and imaging centers.

Listen carefully, if you are looking for lots of talk and words and BS, go see another Doctor, if you want an awesome Neurologist, see Dr Cech! After 10 years of pain went to see Dr Cech 5 mins on initial diagnosis - he had all my X-Rays and MRI's on his screen. He said, I can help you, without major surgery in other words a Laminectomy L4/5/5/6 no muscle cuts, no rods no cages. End consultation. Surgery 1 week later. I day post surgery no pain -1 week later 4 mile walk! Miracles do happen!

Waited a month to get in with hopes of getting answers. Doctor came in and told us we were in the wrong place, spent less than 2 mins with us, asked no medical questions, no exam, in and out, made us feel we wasted his time. Were told by his assistant that we should have never been booked by his staff because we had no prior workup, i.e., imaging. Were handed name of a neurologist, no apology for wasting a month waiting or our day for the visit. Left in disbelief and extremely disappointed.
