Because he's good with a scalpel
Two stars strictly and only because my husband didn't die during his surgery. Dr. Gould has zero bedside manor and such a lack of emotional intelligence. My husband has been in and out of the hospital for the last 15 years with various issues that are severe and life threatening. Less than 24 hours post surgery with an open abdominal cavity, Dr. Gould said my husband could be discharged and when my husband asked about VNA services, Dr. Gould laughed and said it wasn't necessary. His behavior completely invalidated the very real concerns my husband has. My husband advocated to stay in the hospital longer considering how complex his medical history is. Dr. Gould essentially explained that his job was to treat the hernias and that's what happened so he is good to be discharged. The last time he was prematurely discharged he ended up back in the hospital with a raging infection and uncontrollable bleeding. If your looking for comprehensive interdisciplinary care Dr. G ain't it
