Dr Hotelling was very unsympathetic to my symptoms and did not seem to believe me. He repeatedly tried to argue with me throughout the appointment even at one point telling me that I wasn’t describing my job correctly. After my test results came back (on extremely low-end of “normal”) he was incredibly dismissive with a “no surprise here, there’s nothing wrong.” He had no suggestions as to why my estrogen was so low or even any suggestions for referrals. While he kept implying that I wasted his time, I feel that he wasted MY time and money.

After being jilted by my previous endocrinologist who closed down one week before an appointment that I waited out for 6+ months, a friend recommended Dr Hoteling. One call got me an appointment in just 20 days. I find DR Hoteling to be professional, courteous, and highly attentive to my needs. Dr H was patient while I gave him a complete 12 month rundown of my condition. I noticed that he developed an entire page of clinical notes as I spoke. I am confident I chose the best "E" doctor.

I see we have a demanding little princess living in Falmouth. I had to comment when I read her statement, because it is so vicious and untrue. I happily switched from Dr. Handanos in Biddeford, to see Dr. Hotelling 3 years ago. I found him to be very thorough and attentive. Furthermore, he is very much there 'mentally' and his office is very clean. It's nice to converse with a doctor who actually listens, takes notes and isn't typing and peering into a computer screen.

Not sure if he's altogether there mentally? I felt like he was dismissive of my symptoms and totally ignorant about my condition and course of treatment. When I asked to follow-up on the phone so I don't have to drag my baby downtown, he said he needs to see me in person to feel my thyroid gland -- but my thyroid gland has been surgically removed. His office doesn't do anything online, wasn't particularly clean, and he and his scheduler made me feel guilty for bringing my nursing baby along.
