Experience in office with Dr Houghton was good but it seems that some of his staff sucks. He ordered an MRI so he could make a diagnosis and here I am a month later still waiting for a call to get a diagnosis. I have called repeatedly with no results. I even requested a referral with no results. I even filed a complaint and that hasn’t helped. I guess I will have to get a referral from my primary doctor. I really liked Dr houghton but after traveling 6 hours with zero follow up it was for naut

I was diagnosed with Parkinson's 26yrsago. I have been to at least 50 neurologist from Louisiana to Texas. All telling me that my case was too complex for them to treat me. Finally I called Parkinson's foundation . I asked who was the best neurologist in this region and they told me Dr Houghton. He is ingenious. He cares he takes time to listen, he's on top of the latest technology. He spends over an hour with me each time I visit I love this doctor. in my opinion he is by far the best.

Called for a new pt appt and was directed to a scheduling center where I was asked to give my new pt info and someone would return my call shortly to schedule a new patient appointment. Three hours later I called the new patient number again to find out why no one has called me back . I was told that the only thing she could do was to take my message again and have someone call me back! Wow! This is unacceptable! They have just lost me as a new patient and I'm sure I am not the first one!!

The ONLY Doctor I trust with my life. After years of being misdiagnosed or brushed off by other neurologists and told nothing was wrong with me, Dr. Houghton came into my life and (thank God) found out what was causing my problems. He's caring, knowledgeable, includes patient in care plan, excellent bedside manner, explains condition to where you understand what is going on. Overall, the best doctor I've met.
