I would definitely recommend Dr. Kalyvas to anyone. He seemed very caring and knowledgeable in his field. Great bedside manner too! I really enjoyed meeting him. He didn’t give up when trying to sort out my symptoms.

I had a cervical spine fusion done on Oct 2nd 2019 with Dr. Kalyvas, it was a complex surgery, and Dr Kalyvas did an awesome job. I could not have asked for a better surgeon. When facing such a frightening surgery, it is comforting to have such a skilled and compassionate surgeon. I would recommend Dr. Kalyvas to anyone. He and his staff are kind, friendly and care so much for you. I thank God for putting in the path of Dr. Kalyvas.

My husband has had 4 cervical surgeries in the past 15-18 years by various doctors. He was living in chronic pain. We had been to 4 or 5 neurosurgeons in the Baton Rouge and New Orleans area in the past 8 yrs.and they said they were unable to help him. We even sent everything (MRI's etc) to John Hopkins who said he was not a candidate for surgery. We went to Oschner and saw a Dr Sulaiman who referred us to Dr Kalyvas. Surgery was August 15th. Dr Kalyvas did a excellent job! Successful surgery!!

Dr Kalyvas explained all of the requirements, benefits and possible complications of spinal surgery. He explained the steps we were going to take prior to surgery and the reasons for each. Although I was ready to schedule surgery that day, everything he told me needed to be done first was reasonable and made sense.. He spent enough time with me to explain every suggestion and answered all my questions.
Dr Kalyvas has a very pleasant and warm demeanor and made me feel very comfortable..

Dr. Kalyvas is very patient and gives you as much time as you need. I did not feel rushed during my clinic visit. He is very easy to understand and very knowledgeable.
