A Truly Wonderful Doctor!
Dr. Reed has a rare mix of brilliance in his field and genuine compassion. When I came into his office with a retinal detachment at 25, it was clear from the start that he truly cared about my well-being and visual outcome. That level of care has remained constant through every one of my visits since.I’ve seen Dr. Reed many times now, and no appointment has ever felt rushed, despite his undoubtedly busy schedule. He always takes the time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions thoroughly. He has put an exceptional amount of effort into ensuring the best outcome possible for me.While there's no way to escape the stress of this experience, Dr. Reed has made it significantly easier through his kindness, expertise, and dedication.I also want to mention that the staff, along with everyone else who works with him, is fantastic. I highly, highly, highly recommend them!

Fabulous care
I saw Dr Reed for retina surgery for the removal of an epiretinal membrane. He was wonderful. Listened well, and did a great job. The staff was kind and efficient also. I did not have pain, the follow up was close, and my vision has gone from 20-70 corrected to 20-20 corrected. What a fabulous job! Very pleased

I’m sure Dr reed was having a bad day !
I have been a patient at Ocb 20 yrs and for the first time, I had a doctor that refused to listen to my concerns or my needs ! Instead of listening to my concerns and explaining why it would be important to follow what he suggested instead, Got angry and literally told me I will not treat you get out! It was probably the most unprofessional conversation I’ve ever had with the healthcare provider And I will never return at OCB for treatment again.

Highly recommend!
We highly recommend Dr David Reed! Back in March my wife began a new chapter in our lives, dealing with sudden, serious vision compromising issues we needed to find some hope. We were fortunate enough to be referred to OCB and began our long and traumatic journey with another doctor, Dr Mark Dacey. When faced with a second retina detachment and the need to find an immediate opening to operate, my wife specifically asked for Dr. David Reed. We were very fortunate that he had an opening and since then has become the beacon of hope for my wife to regain some normalcy with her vision. I will be forever grateful for his compassion, the genuine care he demonstrates as he takes the time to listen to her all concerns and expertise. Whether he knows it or not, he has helped both of us through this traumatic new chapter in our lives, treating us as whole people - not just eyes.

An Extraordinary Professional
Dr. Reed is a remarkable professional. I have presented him with a number of challenges with my eyesight and he continually responds to each with excellent results. My eyesight wouldn't be anywhere nearly as good as it is if Dr. Reed didn't help me.

Saved my eyesight
my retina detached and it looked bleak. But after emergency surgery my eyesight returned. Dr Reeds skills repaired the retina. His instructions to heal to the were easy to follow and after my follow up visit my eyesight returned. Not without damage. That damage was done when the retina detached but I could have been blinded without Dr Reeds skills.

Dr. Reed is the Best!
Dr. Reed has been treating my right eye for the wet form of Macular Degeneration for 8 months now. In that period of time the vision in my effected right eye has improved and the condition of my left eye, being monitored because it has dry MD, has stabilized. Dr. Reed will address any concern and answer all your questions so that you understand what you’re dealing with. If you’re the patient and dealing with WMD one of your concerns will probably be the eye injection. All my eye injections have been pain free. He’s an excellent Doctor, his staff is professional and the eye injections are painless. If you’re looking for an Ophthalmologist to help you deal with WMD, Dr. Reed is the best.

Dr. Reed has been able to stabilize my macular degeneration with eye injections which he does quickly with absolutely no pain. I have gone to other retina specialists in this practice and Dr. Reed is by far the best.

Dr. Reed has excellent diagnostic and procedural skills. I have had three ophthalmologists give me eye injections for a retinal disorder over the last five years. Dr. Reed is absolutely the most competent and I have almost no pain with the procedure.

THE BEST EYE DOC EVER!
I see Dr. Reed on a routine basis. He immediately makes you feel at ease and has a perfect chairside manner. He explains, in detail, everything he is doing and anything he examines. He is obviously well trained, a complete professional, personable, charming, and brilliant. i actually enjoy going to these eye appointments. Now, his staff is second to none. They, too, are well trained, personable, and willing to answer anything they can. I don't know if I should say this, but our visits are actually a blast. We're always cracking up! I leave there feeling very fortunate to have found this practice.

I have been under the care of retinal specialists for more than six decades for retinal detachment, retinal holes, cataracts and, for the past dozen years, have received monthly injections for macular degeneration. I have been under the care of Dr. Reed for several years. I find Dr. Reed to be competent, efficient and personable. Despite what appears to be a heavy patient load, he has always taken time to address my questions and concerns with unrushed demeanor. I trust my vision is in good hands under his care.

Outstanding doctor
I consulted with Dr. Reed regarding diminished eyesight from a macular pucker. I was nervous about the surgery but needed it to be addressed. He said with this type of surgery I shouldn't expect perfect vision, however I now have 20/20 vision (with glasses). He is calm, personable, explained the procedure and aftercare. The day of the surgery was extremely well organized and coordinated like clockwork among the nurses, anesthetists and surgeons. Surgery only took a few minutes (or so it seemed). I highly recommend Dr. Reed
