Ruptured Achilles Heel Tendon Repair
Straightforward and caring. Described in detail what she would do and why. When I had questions and or concerns (due to my own anxieties) she took time to answer my questions and alleviate my concerns.

Her advice was probably good but she lacks bedside manner.

My forefoot reconstruction has failed: a broken metal plate, broken screw, and two toes out of three unfused, including the big toe. Dr. Henley told me five months ago that the big toe had fused; I already knew that the third had not. I was disturbed by how hard the May followup was to get. The staff person seemed unconcerned that I felt my foot surgery was failing, and had a not-our-problem tone. No interest, no concern. We have lost confidence in Dr. Henley and her office. I think she is an excellent surgeon but that she should have paid attention to my Vitamin D level (I was clueless) which was half of what my other surgeon is requiring. If you go with surgery with ANYONE, please get your D level checked and deal with it if it is low; having done some research, I think that may have made all the difference. I recommend seeing a good naturopath asap; they know this stuff, & a lot of docs don't pay attention to it. I wish I had done that; my PCP is terrific but she missed this too.

Dr. Henley performed a procedure at RRMC recently. I saw Dr. Henley a couple of times before procedure and was a new patient. She is a very caring MD and explained my condition and options thoroughly. I would highly recommend this doctor for orthopedic care and was very impressed with the care of the nurses and staff at RRMC.

I suffered a Tib/Fib fracture in August of 2019 and was fortunate enough to have Dr. Henley be on call the weekend of my accident. Dr. Henley, and the entire staff at VT Orthopedic Clinic have been outstanding and very patient through the procedures that i've had and my post-op care has been top notch. Dr. Henley always took a lot of time to answer my questions/address my concerns and I never felt rushed at any of my appointments. Thanks to Dr. Henley's expert care and genuine sense of empathy i'm back to doing what I was doing before my injury and am very grateful to Dr. Henley and her staff.
