Dr. Deepanwita Prusty, MD

I had been a patient of Dr. Prusty for years, but finally decided to stop going due to awful experiences. Dr. Prusty is one of the rudest drs and the office is poorly managed. I would tell her certain symptoms and her response would be 'well stop doing it'. She will sit there and yell at you if you did not do something she wanted, as if you are a child. There was one nurse who had been with the practice since I started going, but she left, which should have been a red flag. One of Dr. Prusty’s nurses spoke to me so harshly that I was noticeably upset. I’ve never been treated that way by a medical professional before. When I addressed this with Dr. Prusty, she never apologized and dismissed the behavior as being due to the nurse being 'young.' The office is disorganized, and despite Dr. Prusty giving me her email, I never received a response to my numerous attempts to reach her. Instead, I was billed for services I never received. I strongly advise you to avoid her and that office.

Dr. Prusty is fantastic! She really gets to know you as both patient and person. She is very knowledgeable in every way that blood chemistry affects your body and well-being. Most of all, she takes the time to explain everything in plain language, and in a way that is very welcoming.On another note, her new office is easily accessible, and her staff very friendly and also welcoming.

She’s very knowledgable about my graves disease and spends time listening and understanding, and is helpful in explaining this very complex disease. She has been very diligent about treatment and drug adjustments and I trust her judgement.

Dr. Prusty is very knowledgeable and dedicated to working with her patients in helping with medical issues. I highly recommend her.

Not good. My appointment to review my blood work, I was told I have Graves disease. Never once asked how I was feeling, and told no treatment, see you in 6 months.

After waiting over two months for the appointment and confirming I would be there 5 different times they cancelled My appointment less than 3 hours before i was supposed to show up. They expected me to take another day off work that same week with no notice.

I've never had a worse experience with a physician's office. Dr Prusty herself is smart and competent, but her office staff is so rude. The woman who answers the phone is disorganized, and then gets immediately defensive and YELLS on the phone! I waited months for my first appointment with Dr Prusty then for the next one, they had to reschedule me due to errors on their side, my blood work orders weren't put in correctly and I had to call them multiple times to fix, the list goes on. I've been yelled at by the secretary twice - once for asking about a blood test while I was a patient, and once for asking if my medical records were sent because clearly I left that practice (which, was not followed-up on for months after I emailed and asked them multiple times.) It is so unprofessional, I'm truly shocked. I would not recommend this practice to anyone.
