Dr. kumar was the very first cardiologist that actually listened when I talked, takes that into consideration & comes up with a plan that makes us both happy, she checks on me every 3 months with a video chat between appointments, all this to avoid me from having a heart attack, she is one of the best I have ever seen, I would recommend her to anyone looking for a cardiologist that cares. I wish all my specialist were like her, believe me when I say I am not an easy patient to deal with having so many allergies to so many meds but she just keeps on trying no matter what, I have had doctors say after a few reactions to meds ? well there is not much more I can do? but not Dr. Kumar, she investigates and lets me know we can try again, we are still working on finding the right meds for me but I am confident with her we will find it. I would not recommend Dr. Kumar. She does not follow up with Mychart. I have a condition that requires 6 month scans. No response from the doctor regarding results. We discussed my concern and Dr. Kumar stated she would respond to Mychart. That hasn't happened. She is rude and I will seek a new cardiologist.

Having to switch cardiologists after 30 years, I met Dr Kumar when hospitalized with AFIB. Within 2 weeks I followed up with her and was cardioverted. She is very straight forward and knowledgeable. She put all my fears to rest, I feel much at ease under her care.
