Unpleasant language in the doctor's summary
I thought I had a decent visit until I saw Dr. Mankedick's discussion notes. The doctor implied that I was jumping doctors which is not the case. True, I saw one resident doctor (1 meet) who was to leave the town. I switched to Dr. Vandersluis but in my first follow thru with him, he said he wasn't comfortable me seeing the neurologists, etc. I didn't agree and changed to Dr. Mankedick. It is coincidentally obvious that Dr. Mankedick has exactly the same opinion. However, I don't see any harm in meeting and acquiring info from Dr Gauden (recommended by my PCP), Dr. Horne (MD & PhD at UK, a renowned expert on Parkinsons), and the OSU (my alma mater). Dr. Mankedick noted I was 'adamant' on seeing them, a word with negative connotation. Dr. Mankedick also implied that I see only one neurologist or consider changing. Alas, I would take his advice and seek a better match for my needs, with hope to have better luck next time.

Takes The Time
Dr Menckedick took the time with me when I first came to his practice, and asked questions of me, to see how he could best pick up where my past dr’s left of the treatment for my migraines. It’s often hard to try and transition from one neurologist to another when you relocate. With Dr Menckedick, his level of compassion, and the ease and comfort with which he projects his practice, you feel very relaxed and safe, knowing that he, and his clinical staff will take care of everything that you will need to do to get the continuity of care to take care of your headaches, or seizures, or whatever you may be facing. THAT feeling of safety and comfort takes your anxiety and worry away. WOW!! Now THAT is a great feeling!!!
