Dr. Dewitt Alfred, MD

He has strongly maltreated a family member! He has halted her meds that a prior doc had her thriving on after years of treatment- trying different meds. He just glances over charts,1st visit - scribed her wrong meds because again, he doesn’t read the chart history! Also there are pharmacy practices in place to review a prescription history. He prescribed a med that she told him did not work for her prior - in fact the side effects are detrimental to he health. Then he stopped a medication and didn’t advise that he did. He’s never saw her face to face, just a bully behind a phone! This is not the way to handle someone with a very detailed history of mental health issues. He’s the worst if the worse in psych care. AVOID this “doc” at all costs. He began throwing out scenarios that had absolutely nothing to do with her! Unimaginable! But then again…he has a license to practice somehow…

I did not get one as office staff is rude and poorly communicates I was refused and then treated poorly, hung up on after being upset my appointment was canceled because I didn’t pay my copay last Friday. They left a voicemail which I could not understand and thought was a telemarketer. I confirmed via text yes 2 days ago. I called a week and a half ago and was told they had everything needed. I begged to pay at 10:05 am as my appointment was at 10. She said there was only a 10 minute grace period. I said I have more than half an hour left and I’ve been waiting months. She informed me no ER appointments there and I couldn’t get in until later on in December. We just moved here from out of state. I was upset and said the medication I am on I can’t stop cold turkey or I’ll end up in the ER. What am I to do?!!! She was snarky and said go find another Dr. I was very upset and said I called many doctors and have been waiting months! She hung up on me and put in her system to never acceptme

I really like Dr. Alfred's approach on how he treats his patients; he always makes me feel comfortable, helps me understand my medications without talking down to me, and makes me feel part of the team in our decision making process for my treatment. He's intelligent , kind and caring, and knows his medicine. I've really come a long way. Thank you Dr. Alfred!

I can't say enough about Dr. Alfred, he is an excellent physician; very professional, personable, and knowledgeable. His staff is friendly and caring. I've been very pleased with the quality of care at his office; he always brings excellence to the table every time! Thank you Dr. Alfred for all that you do!

Dr. Alfred has helped me a lot; he is wise, thoughtful and has a kind spirit; he cares about what is best for my treatment and takes the time to listen. He is knowledgable , courteous, and always give me the best medical care. My visits to Dr Alfred are very good. He is a great listener and has been very helpful in the time I have been seeing him, which has been around 18-24 months. He is not afraid to ask tough questions and gives me plenty of time to answer.
