Dr. Donald Eckhardt Jr, MD

Dr. Eckhardt Jr, MD made my vaginal delivery experience better than I could have ever imagined. He clicked immediately with my child's father and made sure he felt comfortable during the delivery process. We were worried about having to do a C-Section but Dr. Eckhardt and his team executed my vaginal delivery without a single problem. He explains his processes and procedures before and as he is performing his duties to make sure you fully comprehend all necessities. I highly recommend him and his wife, Dr. Kari Eckhardt.

I have been going to this office for years and have never had any complains Nurse Angie, Steph and the Doctors are the best!! They are always so caring and attentive!! I love visiting them! I have never felt so comfortable with and off the offices I’ve visited in the past until now!! Believe me you will not regret your visits!

I absolutely Love Donald Eckhardt! He delivered all of my babies. I have followed him from Tomball to The Woodlands and back to Tomball. He has been my OB for 15 years and I refuse to go anywhere else! Love his Staff as well!

He ended up delivering my baby for his wife after I developed high blood pressure late in pregnancy. He nor his wife really cared to know what kinds of things I wanted for the delivery. The biggest reason I am putting 2 stars is because after leaving the hospital after the delivery I was in horrible pain. I fully understand that it is normal to be in pain after a delivery but I felt it was unbearable even with pain medication. I called the office and he rudely let me know it was normal. I canceled my follow up appointment with him and went elsewhere. Turns out my stitches had come out and that is why the pain was so bad. I don't feel he or his wife were understanding toward any feelings I was having about my pregnancy and delivery.

He helped me through my first pregnancy and delivered my son! He was truly amazing and even performed my sons circumcision! I recommend Dr. Eckhardt to anyone who needs a OB/GYN to listen to their needs and get proper care for their bodies and babies!

Physician is ok, but practice is terrible! They charge/bill for services not requested, very deceptive billing practices, and office staff is rude. I have been trying to get birth control implant replaced. Appointment was in June. Still waiting for product to arrive at doctor's office before I can schedule a follow-up appointment to have it replaced. Office staff said there was no update from Nexplanon and said I had to call them myself. Nexplanon customer service said info was missing from doctor's office. Resent request to doctor's office. Still waiting going on 6 weeks. Do yourself a favor and avoid the headache.

This doctor is horrible. He recommended an “simple” surgery that turned out to be quite extensive. When I was hemorrhaging two weeks later, his staff told me to meet him at the ER since he was on his way to see another patient there. He was surprised to see me there and told me I should have gone to his office. When I asked why I was suddenly bleeding, he said, “You’re just special.” He was extremely rough and disregarded my considerable pain. The ER doctor had to treat me with pain medication and antibiotics afterwards because Dr. Eckhardt did not.

Awful doctor! I totally regretted choosing him as my doctor.

Excellent bed side manner and excellent doctor!

DO NOT use to this Dr. He left the door wide open into the exit reception area while i was completely naked in stirrups on the table and facing the reception area as if that wasn't bad/embarrassing enough while trying to remove my old mirena after about 10 min. Of him trying & putting me through excruciating pain while the nurse kept saying your hitting the top of her cervix he decides to start singing I'm going fishing I'm going fishing. He is a sas excuse for a Dr. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HIM

I saw Dr. Eckhardt for endometriosis, heavy periods, and cramping hoping for some sort of birth control that might decrease these complaints. Dr. Eckhardt declared I should have a complete hysterectomy done before the end of the year so I could use up my unused health care spending. He didn't offer any other options and I really didn't feel he took my concerns about long-term health into consideration. Instead, I felt like he was thinking about how much money he could make by year end.

I would never recommend him to anyone who is worried about their pregnancy or has questions. He moved me through like cattle, I had a high risk pregnancy and was bleeding and having pressure so I went to the er and let him know and was scolded for going then he said next time I shouldn't go to the ER. When the er diagnosed me with a subcorionic hemerage (a blood clot behind my placenta) he said well I'm won't be checking on that you can either loose her or she will survive so I won't be looking.

I've been to see Dr. Eckhardt many times. He is conservative. Listens to your concerns as well as explaining his plan of care for you I have sent many friends to him. Everyone has been completely satisfied.

I waited in the waiting room for over 20 minutes. The office didn't seem to know why I was there and no one knew it was a wellness appointment although I called 3 weeks in advance and made the appointment. The nurse was annoyed that I didn't fill out a survey online before the appt. Months later I received a bill for $1000 for a surgery! IT WAS A WELLNESS APPOINTMENT! He did not explain the medical conditions and billing during the appt.Be careful going to this guy.Go to someone else actually.
