Dr. Donald Simmons, MD

I went here multiple times for a diagnosis and it was a traumatic experience. I was lured in by the afternoon and weekend appointment availability. The nurses were nice, but the doctors bedside manner is terrible. He has no empathy, or at least he doesn't show it. I waited an hour to see this doctor and then I was rushed out as soon as possible so they could see the next person. They book too many patients at once.

It's taken some time for me to decide to leave a review as I'm uncomfortable sharing my story. Dr. Simmons and staff were very dismissive of care that should have been deemed critical. I called his office multiple times within the first two weeks, after giving birth, crying hysterically, obviously suffering from severe post partum depression. I was terrified, begging for help and was told to "toughen up" and they couldn't/wouldn't prescribe me the sleeping medicine as I was breastfeeding. I called back, pleading for help: I would stop breastfeeding.. never received a call back from the Doctor and was told to check myself into a mental health clinic... which I tried. I called their 800 help number and they were outpatient only. Help line sent me back to my OB...I called AGAIN, my husband called: they did not help me. Dr. Simmons never called until I had my records transferred.

I could not recommend Dr. Simmons higher, he takes his time explaining and answering all questions and beyond that, I can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. Wonderful experience with his office and staff.

Dr. Simmons is an excellent OBGYN. I switched to him over 4 years ago and am glad that I did. He is very concerned with quality patient care.

I have had several health issues the past few years and went to a few different Dr's and never felt like they cared or were really even listening to my complaints and symptons, until I went to Dr. Simmons. He really listened and never got any corners to correctly diagnose me. Dr Simmons figured out what is causing my pain and most all of my health issues... I am so thankful and relieved to finally know what is wrong with me and my options and treatments. Thank you Dr Simmons.
