Bad experience
This is for the office staff as I never had the opportunity to meet the Dr. I went through my insurance and was provided Dr. Sievert's name as someone within my network. I called and left a voicemail early December. About 2 weeks later I received a call back asking for my insurance. The staff confirmed I was in network and stated that they would call me back to get started on paperwork and set an initial consult appt. I called them 7 times from December to February attempting to follow up and get scheduled. To this date I still have not heard anything despite writing and reaching out via the website. Horrible communication and standard of service. I can only imagine being a pt in crisis and receiving this type of support and or response.

soon as i mentioned i needed to bring in my DMV med-evaluatuion;, he dropped me. now, i can't find a DR to replace him or Dr Bendari. Same situation ocured with Dr Bendari. when i learned of Celexa and zyprexa, he said '"Oj. yam that is good medication. Thhe Drs have a habtit of -keeping patients coming back,,,, coming back........ and don't cut to the chase and heal. I have family whom 1 is a 'crazy maker' and the other, a 'firestarter' when i toild my oldest sibling, she had someone go into his office and steal my file.

I was a long-term patient of Dr. Sievert’s for at least several years. He’s a competent and polite, professional man who says little, but seems to listen carefully, which I always appreciated about him. That being said, there is another side to my history with him. For most of my time as his patient I left feeling safe and cared for… until the drugs I was being prescribed by him began to make me ill. This is a multifactorial situation. I was already in a severely abusive situation at home. What I didn’t realize was that the medication I was being prescribed was making it worse. I attempted suicide as a result of the combination of these influences in my life; The drugs being a primary one. But Dr. Sievert’s response was not one of responsibility. He chucked me in the metaphorical trash bin after I got perilously ill and told me to find a new doctor in short order. That’s what it was really about all along - profits. At my expense. And I got bled dry in every possible way.

I am a long term patient (since 2017). Today I was accused of being drunk even after I stated I just woke up because my psych, Andre Avakian, called before it was my appointment time and because I was exhausted since I had a horrible panic attack the night prior. This led to him saying he was taking me off my stimulants because of my anxiety, even though I've stated multiple times they help with my anxiety. I had to defend the severity of my ADHD only to be shut down and talked over. I started having an anxiety attack and was told to just calm down (no care or concern sounded like he thought I was a nuisance) so he could get the info he wanted out of me and he could hang up. Also knows nothing about ADHD, and would tell me certain symptoms I was having were not ADHD when other psychologists/psychiatrists have agreed with me. Also accused me of being addicted to my stimulants when there are multiple scientific studies that all state people with ADHD cannot get addicted to them.

I have been a patient of Dr Sievert for 18+ years. This has included visits with him, a nurse practitioner that is now retired, and a counselor. For the last 4 years I have seen Dr Sievert, exclusively. I have suffered from chronic and severe depression and anxiety for most of my life. Before finding Dr Sievert, I was experiencing inadequate care by well-meaning physicians who were unable to help me. Dr Sievert expertly and compassionately treated me, turning around my worsening condition. Under his care, I was able to return to work and enjoy life, again. An autoimmune disorder arrived a few years ago, medically disabling me. Thankfully, Dr Sievert was there to make sure that I didn’t collapse into a psychiatric crisis, as well. Dr Sievert is a godsend to this community.

To start, I went to this practice because I saw the Dr when I had a hospital stay. Never saw him but only a NP. We had been changing my meds when for reasons unknown to you. One that we’re given to me to replace ones I no longer was taken was taken a way to. After hard work to get a healthy mind I started to fall back to old way and my bad moods can back that black hole of no help. I would tell someone looking what happened to me and would tell them look elsewhere. Like I had to do!!!

Dr. Sievert has always treated me kindly and his office staff are always polite. I prefer to refer to his aloof' demeaner as his barrier of protection. A Dr. in this field would no doubt want to help see patients heal their emotions and wounded psychie, but guess what? That takes patient desire.

Does not even look at you when you are talking. He has given me incorrect dosage on sample medication at least 3 times. I had to remind him of the correct dosage. Does not care ...just wants you out in 10-15 minutes.

I have been on lorazepam for 4 years. I wnt to see Laura Slippy. she changed some of my medications. I told her I had a lot of of medication (Gabapentin) at home. She changed some of my meds but not the lorazepam and gabapentin. I had 12 Lorazepam at home. She refilled the gabapentin but not the lorazazpam. Lorazepam causes withdraw symptoms of hullucinations and high anxiety to name a few. I called the office and the staff answering the phone were of no help. Brick Wall.

This facility has no respect for their patients time. When you are lucky enough to get appointment (weeks or months out) expect to wait at least 30 mins to an hour after your scheduled time before you are actually seen. In addition after your initial appointment, the length of your appointment will be scheduled for 15 mins. If you have to cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours or have to miss due to an emergency the penalty fee is $200.

He rarely listens or responds. He did not tell me when he changed my diagnosis. It came up several months later during a casual conversation. I was shocked he had not discussed with me diagnosis. After reading the insert to my new meds., the medication I was prescribed said it is NOT to be used to treat my diagnosed condition. It also stated the efficacy of this medication has not been established beyond 8 weeks. I have been on the meds. for several months. Going to change doctors.

Doctor twice told me - increasing my medication would not hurt me. My eyesight has suffered due to the medication I took for 7 years. I have macular edema. Once I stopped taking the medication, the edema has lessened by what I described as about 50%. However, my scores from the acuity chart went from my normal of 20/30 and 20/40 to 20/100 and 20/80. Office staff has lied to me,- I have proof. The receptionist hung up on me. Have known this MD for years. He does not care. He sits & prescribes

I have had terrible experiences with Psychiatrists before seeing Dr Sievert so my expectations were low but he was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. He has a wonderful office staff who are extremely nice especially considering how much of a headache us psych patients can be. My only dislikes are the time a follow up appointment is 15 minutes, wish it was 30 minutes and that its an hour drive from where I live. Highly recommend him!

Dr Sieverts office does not send or call out appointment reminders. After brain surgery I had problems remembering what were irregular appointment times. I asked for reminders and was told that they didn't do them. Then I sent a letter asking for a referral to another Dr that did do them. I never heard from them and wound up getting a referral from my GP. He's really nice but it's to bad for you if something doesn't work out. Then he doesn't know you.

Very unprofessional staff members. After my initial visit with MD, one of my medication needed a prior authorization and it's been more than a week and they'r still sending the PA to insurance company.I am basically stuck in a tug of war between pharmacy, THESE UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF MEMBERS and insurance company. On top of that miss receptionist tells me if i am having nervous breakdown, i can always purchase it. JUST fyi. IF I had money, i wouldn't have asked to do a PA for $365.58/month meds
