Staff needs empathy & compassion training
Dr. Tina is very knowledgeable and empathetic; however, some of the staff need to have a little compassion. When calls are not returned as stated they would be, it becomes frustrating, so one needs to continuously follow up which probably upsets the staff for repeated phone calls and messages. While staff might be busy, it is not an excuse to treat patients with an abrupt, non-caring tone. Many of your patients are in pain and in my case I am in limbo with my medication. I've been told for the past two days that someone would return my call, and I've had no response. When I call to follow up I'm told again, the medical assistant will call you when they know more - I don't even know what they know or what they're waiting on?????? If someone would just tell me, something, anything about the status of the situation I wouldn't be so frustrated, but to be treated as if you're a nuisance is inexcusable.

In humane
I have been a patient of dr martorell for many years. In the beginning his office staff was terrible. After some time he cleaned up his office staff. Well now the medical assistants are horrible. You leave messages for a call back and no response. I finally was able to talk to someone after having a FLARE UP and was told no appointments available go to the emergency room. I have never felt so much discuss for an inconsiderate medical assistant. I will no longer go to this office. I was treated in humane.

Don't waste your time!
Dr. Martorell is not interested in listening to patient's concerns. My last visit was as if I had an appointment to see his face. No exam, no question and no discussion of lab work, which he had ordered. Nothing was accomplished but a copay and a bill to my insurance. It is too bad that the insurance companies are not interested in requesting the doctor's notes unless the claim charges exceeds what is allowed by their contract.

I left this Dr after two appointments. He first didn’t believe I had any issues because my numbers were good. I had a lab result with a high CK which he ignored and when I started having serious complications and my CK had jumped higher dramatically, I found a new Rheumatologist who actually is more caring and concerned about my health.

I have been his patient for about 5 years. His care in the beginning was excellent. His office staff and services are horrible. On my last visit, the nurse asked if I was having a flare up, it stated in my left ankle. When he did my exam, he checked my hands! He aslo asked if I had a rash. I showed him a rash and he said, "you must be allergic to something." A waste of money and time.

not satisfied with this office. Dr seems to not take your word for the symptoms. was told to call office when I have flare ups to be examined but when I did no availability. it seems like he thinks everyone is trying to get disability. Not this one. Not a good impression

Busy office. Overall I am satisfied with the care and attention from Dr.Martorell and his staff. They have treated me with kindness and respect. I do not understand some of the negative feed back. Do expect long wait times as they are always full.

Staff at his office near Haines City are the rudest most incompetent medical office employees I've ever experienced. Things that should be routine, like refilling a prescription for my RA medication, turn into a game of phone tag and deflection of blame onto Dr Mortorell. Who the nurse claims "sent it to the wrong pharmacy" this time. Last renewal the excuse was it was misplaced.

This guy has the nerve to call himself a professional doctor, what a joke. He's very unprofessional and anyone needing support documents get ready to pay through the nose. His office past my documents around the office giving erroneous information that caused my disability filing to be declined. I would never recommend this office to my worse enemy.

The doctor is very dismissive and does not take appropriate time to discuss specific health concerns. It is very difficult to get someone to pick up their phone and if you leave messages, they don’t return them.

I have had numerous horrible experiences with this office. Late appointments, the nurse never returns your call (even though they say they will by the end of the day), and if an appointment is moved you have to wait 4 months. The service is very poor - the staff could care less about their patients. Tied with never getting any help on the phone from the nurse to the time it takes to get an appointment, I do NOT recommend Dr. Martorell to anyone.
