Do Not Recommend
I actually canceled my cataract surgery because of Dr. Trice’s rudeness. It was as though I was just an eyeball, not a human.

Dr. Trice conducted a thorough examination and reviewed my past records. He was very to the point and answered all of my questions. His technician, Sarah was also very thorough. A visit to VEI is not a quick in and out. But I feel that my eyesight was completely evaluated.

Trice was paternalistic, condescending, impatient, no chair Side manner, and displayed a ‘you’re not worthy’ type of attitude to me. He seemed to be upset that I was his patient. He shouted orders, “move your leg!”, “stop blinking!” He often spoke about me in third person, to his assistant, as if I wasn’t there. I would never go back to VEI and I will never recommend VEI to anyone.

Watch out for your wallet! Wanted to see me every-other month to follow a simple, small cataract. I mentioned during an appt that I missed my contacts. His response was to tell his assistant to "print that out for her." I had not been cleared to wear contacts again yet, so I figured, "whatever." I got to the checkout and was charged $40 for having that print button hit! Now that I've experienced a GOOD cataract guy elsewhere, I realize how unknowledgeable Dr. Trice was!

This doc had NO bedside manners! This was my first visit and my last! He was late seeing me and he never apologized for the wait. Very rude! When I scheduled my appointment my intent was to see someone else but she was booked. He was the only one that had openings. I see why. I should’ve read his reviews before seeing him but I definitely won’t be back!!!! I wish I could give him a -0

Arrived at 2:55 for 3 pm appt. It’s 3:35pm and I just asked how much longer the wait would be. I was told there are SIX patients ahead of me. I will not be back to this practice.
