Dr. Edward Frech, MD

Dr Frech answered all of my questions and concerns. He is very professional and approachable. I want to know more about my current parameters, hepatic portal hypertension but we done and follow up test to see the current state and I would like more frequent lab work to assess if my extreme fatigue is a contributing factor in liver disease. A condition is more than just a set of numbers and I feel as though I don’t know if my liver is processing medication too fast or too slow and my medication needs to be adjusted due to this.

Dr. Frech is attentive, thorough and has always made sure l get the best care. I can’t imagine a better doctor for my issues, plus he has a great sense of humor. I never feel like just another patient, he cares about me as a person. Thank you!!!

Im so glad I chose him as my healthcare specialist not only for my colonoscopy but also for my liver issues. Although his diagnosis was 100% correct that I had an 2 Autoimmune deseases, he confirmed it with bloodwork and a biopsy of my liver, before he would subscribe me any medications. I have regular followups and bloodwork to confirm everything is well. He is very personable, easy to talk to, and explains things in a way that makes sense. He encourges conversation about and is receptive to any questions I have regarding my health. Simply put, Dr. Frech is the best.

Dr. Frech is who I visited for some gastro issues in 2017. I was scheduled for an Endoscopy and a Colonoscopy. During this time, he inadvertently found some pre-cancerous polyps that he had the chance to remove. I was then put on a routine 3, and now 5 year preventative screening since he found them while I was in my mid-20s. So grateful for Dr. Frech and his detailed care. I also appreciate that before the procedure, he intentionally looks at you, communicating with you about the procedure rather than treating you as a number. I feel safe and would absolutely recommend him to anyone needing a physician of his expertise.

Dr. Frech always explains what is going to Halen and what did happen. Oven seem him 3 times and if I can help it he is the only one I'll see. Never a single complication and always ready to answer questions directly. I also appreciate that he reads up on my file before we begin and asks questions related to me personally.

Dr. Frech is very caring and understanding, a trait you don't find in many doctors now days. He's also very knowledgeable, thorough and speaks to his patients in common sense terms. Most doctors want to use large medical terms or try to impress you with their knowledge, whether it pertains to you or not. He has amazing bedside manners and really cares about his patients. More doctors need to learn from him.

Dr. Frech is extremely thorough in his examinations. He found and removed 11 polyps in the last 10 years. He also has a great bedside manor; he makes me feel like I’m a person, not just a patient that he has to check off his schedule. I absolutely would recommend him to any if my friends or family members.

I have Crohn's disease and meet Dr. Frech while he was completing his residency at the local VA Hospital. When I got my own insurance I found him and have been going to him ever since, it's been about 18 years now. Dr. Frech and his team send home materials to prepare the patient for the procedure. They are available if you have questions. As a patient I was treated in a respectful but friendly manner in office and at the place of my procedure appointment. I would recommend Dr. Frech to other patients requiring a colonoscopy. He and his team and quick and efficient, cautious and courteous, knowledgeable and forthright with information both before and after the procedure and what to expect throughout the process. About the only thing I could recommend is for the office to revamp the list of permissible clear liquids since there is more variety with the sparkling water industry and coconut water (without any coconut solids of course!) And possibly list a few more of the restricted dyes like purple. But that is very trivial and the care you get is excellent overall. My husband and I will be back in a few years for our next colonoscopies!
