Misdiagnosis & Second Opinions
Two plus years ago, we saw Dr. Haight twice. Once for consultation & orders for CT then again for the results. On our second visit, after 2 hours, he finally saw us. I truly believe they forgot about us. He came in rushed with a picture of our CT on his phone. He gave us 10 minutes and said my husband had dementia. We were both in shock. He gave us a xeroxed copy of the cover of a book to read on dementia and sent us on our way. Well, several neurologist later, he has been diagnosed with Natural Pressure Hydrocephalus. We are now seeing several neurology doctors at Ochsners and he is being treated for NPH. I am not bashing Dr. Haight but had he taken more time or dug deeper, he could have saved us time in trying to fix this. I have been wanting to go back to him to share this but I know it would be in vane. I am only doing this to help others. I pray we are not too late to relieve pressure from his brain and a shunt will help. Please if you can, get a second opinion.

Dr Haight treats me for several conditions. He is professional yet down to earth at the same time. He has always rendered an accurate diagnosis in a short amount of time. He is compassionate and understanding in regards to symptoms. I highly recommend him.
