Dr. Edward Siegel, MD

I called Dr. Siegel's office in a desperate search to reach a psychiatrist following the sudden onset of some extremely distressing symptoms. Though no longer accepting new patients, his scheduling staff was sympathetic to the fear and stress they could plainly hear in my voice and left a message for him. A couple hours later, Dr. Siegel reached out to me personally and talked me through a lot of my fears and was able to explain some of what he suspected I was going through. A couple days later, I was in his office starting down the road to recovery while following, what I believe to be, a very measured and appropriate mix of pharmacological treatment and psychotherapy. This guy KNOWS psychiatry. He isn't a pill pusher and he isn't aloof. Dr. Siegel and his staff helped me through the darkest period of my life and I'm extremely grateful. These are truly compassionate health care professionals.

On the day I told Dr. Siegel that I wasn't finding him helpful and I would no longer be seeing him, he literally chased after me and shouted very hurtful, scarring insults (as well as private personal information) at me in the parking lot of his practice where others could hear.

Dr. Siegel is an expert in his field and is representative of the family values found in our community of Solana Beach. He extends every effort to his patients who seeking wellness in marriage, health, and family. He makes himself available with flexible scheduling. He is a great doctor and a caring healer -

We scheduled an appt with Dr. Siegel to help us understand and work with my son's condition. Very frustrating hour, Dr. Siegel never stopped talking, mostly about things that were completely irrelevant to our circumstances. We could not get a word in without aggressively cutting him off. Our questions were brushed aside, he went back to talking about himself. Very frustrating and disheartening especially when trying to help a loved one get better, was detrimental to my son's recovery.
