Disappointment
I drove an hr and 15 minutes to go see Dr. Biester. I have PCOS and her website it talks about how she has an alternative to medicine. I waited more than an hr and a half to be seen then prescribed medication and told to follow up with a fertility specialist. I have never been so disappointed. She did not caring about me and my journey rather made me feel bad that I hadn't done more for myself

It was my first visit with Dr Biester, and I would definitely recommend her to other people. She put me at ease the minute she walked into the room with her welcoming smile and handshake. She was so calming, warm and friendly, and showed a genuine interest in why I was there and what I was saying. She listened closely to me and spoke in terms I could understand. She also gave a recommendation for another physician she thought could help me in one particular field. I will definitely stay with her.

A Great Doctor and Supportive Staff
Every time I go to see Dr. Biester I am struck by her calm and reassuring manner Everything in her office is soothing, from the waiting rooms (THANK YOU for not blasting music or some inane talk show at top volume!) to her team, all of whom are friendly and supportive. Dr. Biester is extremely knowledgable and is always able to answer my questions and address my concerns. She never acts as though she's in a hurry to leave, but sits calmly and listens to all of my concerns. This makes such a difference in the doctor/patient relationship, and if you've ever had an impatient, dismissive phuysician, you will know what I mean. The office, always decorated for the season, gives a visitor a sense of fun and community rather than dread of a doctor visit. I would highly recommend Dr. Biester and her staff to anyonen seeking a gynecologist.

I went into her as I am looking for a new provider. I have a plethora of health issues going on and some of it I believe is hormonal so I was hoping to get some blood work. Instead she directed me to a different place (one she is affiliated with) who isn’t taking people for over 6 months rather than just getting work done that same day. I didn’t feel as though she listened to my concerns and dismissed pretty much everything. She also told me that PMDD and PMS are the same, which is extremely false information. Will not be going back.

I'm glad she's my Dr.
Very personable and friendly, good bedside manners and treats me with respect. Listens to my concerns and offers a variety of solutions, willing to work with me regarding a specific medical issue that contravenes standard medical advice. I feel very comfortable with her and like a valued patient.

Bedside Manner
I visited Dr. Biester when I was in my early 20's and she did not have great bedside manner with me. She would gaslight an issue I had and I felt rushed as I was never able to explain all of my symptoms. I also felt as though some her comments "You can open your legs wider than that." were inappropriate. I give her two stars as she did prescribe medication that did help with symptoms I had experienced but overall while in her care I felt as though my concerns were not met. It was definitely a learning experience of what type of doctor to not go to.

She did not take the time to find a solution to my problem. And was only focusing on my weight and not the actual problem that was in my pelvis

I told her something was severely wrong, she said I was lazy and fat. I had a cyst the size of baby's head. After that she blew me off as a patient and refused to treat me. Absolutely disgusting manners. Don't ever waist your time on ignorant rude doctors like her and the rest of the monsters there.

She rushes patients, forgets to add important information to the notes, didn’t tell me she ordered a blood test. She is not compassionate towards perimenopausal women and dismissed my issues as minor. Would not recommend.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Biester. The staff from the front desk to the lab tech were phenomenal. Everything was done timely. Dr. Biester's medical assistant was friendly and knowledgeable. She explained everything well. Dr. Biester was professional, personable, caring and provided excellent care. She also sent my results on MyChart as soon as they became available. I am glad I switched over to her from my previous provider.

I was a new patient to Dr. Biester and came in for a consultation concerning fibroids. Dr. Biester was very knowledgeable and presented all my options. I was so relieved to have a plan and act upon it quickly. Scheduling was easy and front desk/medical assistants were incredibly helpful and efficient.

I haven't had any huge issues but I did get an UID placed in. No problems, nothing to report. Dr. Biester is friendly, answers all my questions and is efficient. Solid doctor and most things are communicated and reminded via MyChart which is a nice way to get everything in one place. Even check-in and signing documents are digital now which I love.

My most recent visit was to remove my old IUD, to be replaced with a new one and WOW the method and expertise Dr. Biester utilizes made it so much more comfortable than my first IUD insertion (first insertion NOT done by her, nor at an EdwardElmhurst facility).Dr. Biester OB/GYN is an actual BEAST!!! (in the great, kick-butt type of way!) She is so knowledgable and skilled at what she does. Compassionate and listens to your desires first before offering her professional outlook and seamlessly merges both her vast experience and your needs. She has such a comforting persona and her team of nurses are just as friendly making the overall visits such a breeze. She also let me keep my old IUD as a macabre souvenir as per my unusual request hehe. I hope by the time I am ready to have a baby she is still in practice because she truly is incredible at what she does and I'm so grateful to have her as part of my care team.

Recently, I had a first-time visit with Dr. Biester. I was very nervous about a suspected medical condition, and expressed my anxiety when she began her evaluation. She was attentive, very empathetic, and was able to somehow calm my nerves through our conversation. I will definitely return to her for my care, and would recommend her to others.
