I had been a patient of this doctor for over eight years and I do not remember a time where I walked in and the doctor herself was obnoxious, rude and unprofessional to her staff members. Putting them down, making them feel belittled in her office would speak right over me with any concerns that I might’ve had, Did not want to stop my metformin and have me try other medication’s and that’s because at the end of the year these pharmaceutical companies give these doctors bonuses for every script that they continue to write for patients. Do your research. Look it up? I’m happy to say that I did find another primary care physician who actually listens to all my concerns then makes her appropriate recommendations. For a doctor to speak to their own mother who ran the front desk with no empathy, compassion, or professionalism is a disgrace to me. No Thank you!

Arrogant and Extreme
She’s an arrogant unhinged mess- never been treated so bad by a doctor in 50 plus years. No joke- STAY AWAY. I made the “mistake” of trying to schedule an appointment in person with her small office recently only to have them say I needed to call their office (um— I was in the office- how does that work? Call now?). Then told literally one second later that “the office is closed now. You need to leave.” The door was open- and the posted hours indicated absolutely the contrary- their office would be closing over one hour later. I called their office number 15 minutes later to verify what I’d understood from advertised hours. Indeed, they told me a lie. It was open. Rude, obnoxious, arrogant and disrespectful to an extreme I’ve never experienced before.

I live in Toms River...
.. and her practice is seconds away from CMC (community medical center ,toms river), yet I would ALWAYS be referred to Brick for the specialty I needed instead of Toms River, which is local to me (and her)?? If you have a practice in Toms River, why are you referring your patients to Brick?!

Disaster
"Doctor was RUDE and totally unprofessional. I have been to this office sever times and on this occasion I was asked to fill out some additional paper work, witch was fine. I said to the receptionist that I filled out your paper work but I not comfortable with giving you my social security number. That's when the show started, The doctor came to the desk and said this is a private practice and if you refuse to give your social security number then I don't have to see you. Then she started to rant about this is the only way I can go after someone who doesn't pay there bill. Then she started going off about the way I was talking to her staff. All I said to the receptionist I was not comfortable with giving out my Social Security Number because I have been a victim of identity theft. i HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE THIS AT ANY DOCTORS.

I have seen her maybe 3 times. All 3 times, She has absolutely NO bedside manners at all. All 3 times. I changed primary Doctors, I would expect a little compassion from a Doctor anyway! Not with her.

From the minute I walked in, I knew I was going to be happy with Dr. Pappas. Her receptionist and her nurse, Christie, were kind and considerate. Then I met Dr. Pappas. Immediately I knew this was my kind of doctor….caring, helpful and she made me feel at ease right away. She listened and was so on target in her responses. This is the first doctor that I’ve ever had that I feel 100% comfortable with. I would highly recommend her to anyone!!!

My husband and I have been patients of Dr Pappas for about 10 years now. We couldn't be more pleased with her and her staff. We can ask her about any problem and if she doesn't know the answer she will always point us in the right direction. We appreciate her so very much as she is a true example of the much needed friendly family doctor that everyone needs at one time or another.

Horrible person, she doesn’t care about her patients at all. I went there because my blood pressure was very high, she didn’t even prescribe me any medication for it, she just listened to my heart and rushed me right out of her office and said I better start coming there more often. I will NEVER go back there again.

She was incredibly unprofessional regarding answering questions and receiving feedback. It's clear that her nurses are already used to the lack of functionality of her office, which judging by my visit revolves around her writing unnecessary referrals to specialists instead of providing her own care. In addition, I find it very suspicious that when researching other patient reviews or researching her medical background, she either "coincidentally" receives positive reviews promptly after receiving negative feedback, or she claims to have specialization in care she does not actually provide. I found that on certain sites she supposedly has some specialization in care I inquired about in my visit, but when actually receiving me as a patient, she was quick to argue that she, in fact, preferred referring me to somebody else. Very inefficient!

I try to be objective in my reviews and understand people make mistakes and have bad days, but there has been continual issues at this office and am relieved to have a different primary. Appointments never put in book, brief unproductive visits, and all around apathy from staff and doctor. Not a coincidence she has nearly as many one star as five star reviews.

I sought out Dr.Pappas because I was looking for a doctor interested in patient care, NOT selling prescriptions. After waiting 45 minutes to be seen for my appointment (scheduled over a month in advance) Dr.Pappas spent 6 min with me. Because I asked for specific blood work, Pappas billed it as NON ROUTINE. Consequently, I was billed $110. I can understand having to cover the bloodwork itself, but NOT paying $110 for Pappas to check a few boxes on a piece of paper after BARELY looking at me.

have been a patient of Dr. Pappas for many years. Many reviewers perceive her no-nonsense approach as "being rude." I disagree with those reviews, Dr. Pappas listens to my concerns, & cuts straight to the point with recommendations and a treatment plan. Each of the doctors that she has recommended have been outstanding. She makes time to see patients on short notice. Her staff is friendly & personable. On-site lab is convenient. I am very satisfied with her practice.

I went twice so I can say with with certainty there is no physical exam when you go to this doctor. The nurse took my BP, Doctor listened to my heart and that was it! No palpation on the abdomen, nothing. I do not feel like I had an exam, but I did get 3 referrals for other doctors and blood work (Fine with me). I felt rushed, I felt unheard, she was short tempered with her staff, and not the place for me to receive care.

The worst ever. Only wants to give you a pile of referrals that you don't need and get rid of you without dealing with what you came in to get help for. Then she refuses to do anything what so ever to help you. Just wants to push you off on other doctors. Won't even write a prescription. Never even lets you talk.

Terrible doctor. Cuts you off when talking and wants you to go get a long list of unnecessary testing before she will help you with what you came in for. So obviously just trying to make a bunch of money without caring about the patients at all.
