Excellent Care
Dr. Joneschild is an expert surgeon and a caring practitioner. She performed successful basal joint thumb arthroplasty and carpal tunnel release in 2022 on my right hand. She was thorough and patient in her responses to my many questions both prior to surgery and during the healing process. I appreciate Dr. Joneschild's no-nonsense, efficient style and plan to have her complete surgery on my left thumb later this year. The Seattle Hand Surgery office is an excellently run office overall and I highly recommend Dr. Joneschild.

Very skilled surgeon who listens
I can’ recommend Dr. Joneschild highly enough. I went in to my GP with a thumb that had become badly infected, and the GP contacted Dr. Joneschild for a consultation. She made room in her schedule to see me within an hour and was able to diagnose and treat the problem with minor surgery very quickly. Her care instructions and follow up were very clear, and her staff was kind and efficient. When the pharmacy was having trouble receiving the prescription, they followed through until the issue was resolved. I feel lucky that she picked up the consult call and was able to squeeze me in.

Excellent doctor and surgeon
I have found Dr. Joneschild to be an efficient, skilled doctor and surgeon. Her assistant, Kendrick, is also outstanding. Dr. Joneschild recently performed basal joint suture suspension arthoplasty and carpal tunnel release on my right hand. She thoroughly answered all of my questions in advance. In fact, I chose her over another surgeon at a different practice because she took the time to explain in detail. I also had more confidence I would get quicker and better service at her clinic. I appreciate her straightforward style and will not hesitate to return to her when I have my left hand done due to progressive osteoarthritis.

I am having a great ongoing experience with Dr. Joneschild. She is clear snd to the point and friendly. I am glad she is a strait shooter and tells me like it is. But every doctor will say "it's up to you" when there are treatment options.

For my particular visits, she was super friendly and helpful. She saw that I was doing the proper splinting procedure and acted accordingly and did not prescribe any superfluous splints that would have added unnecessary cost. I understand there were some negative reviews, but my visit was nothing but pleasant and she was an absolute gem throughout all my sessions.

I agree with other reviewers who say Dr Joneschild is not approachable, shows little empathy, conveys a rude attitude, and lacks emotional intelligence. I have some wrist issue going on, perhaps from cycling, and hoped for a good diagnosis. She couldn't figure out what was going on by my description and by her strength testing, poking, and prodding. She then ordered an X-Ray and concluded that it showed nothing unusual. She then said I could either get an MRI or a steroid shot. I asked what she recommended and she coldly said it was up to me. Her demeanor was one of someone who wanted to get this appointment out of the way, and she showed zero interest in sincerely wanting to help. I still have the same wrist issues and know absolutely no more than before I saw her.

I highly recommend Dr. Joneschild and her office to anyone needing hand surgery. I had several surgeries in Florida which left me with a finger that needed additional surgery here. She was professional, available and experienced in the surgeries that I needed.

Dr. Joneschild was prompt, friendly and very helpful. She laid out my treatment plan with both conservative and direct options and allowed me to feel part of the decision making process. I felt very confident in her medical decision making process and I'm happy I found her to care for me! I highly recommend her to anyone else.

She discounted my condition, even though it had been well documented thru tests and physical therapists. She shied away from the treatment plan I wanted because she was unqualified to perform the procedure. Instead she wasted 18 months of my time (all of which I could not use my right hand, or work) making me do more physical therapy and testing before flat out telling me to find another surgeon.
