Definitely Dangerous
I would recommend avoiding this neurologist and this hospital's (Brigham & Women's) Epilepsy Service. Neither are safe nor patient-oriented.

SHE PUT ME IN DANGER AND THREATENED ME WITH A "PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITALIZATION ON FRIDAY AUGUST 30, 2014, AFTER MY OPERATION; WHICH CAUSED ME TO HAVE A "TONIC-CLONIC SEIZURE"ON MY 90 YEAR OLD NEIGHBOR'S FLOOR! SHE SAID, "SHELLEY, YOU ARE ALRIGHT, YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE HERE IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM, OR READMITTED TO THE HOSPITAL! I HAVE TWO CHOICES FOR YOU, AND I HOPE YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT ONE! THE FIRST CHOICE IS TO GO HOME, AND I HOPE THAT YOU DO, BECAUSE THE NEXT CHOICE IS A PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITALIZATION"!!!!! DR. BUBRICK, NEVER ATTENDED THE MEETING WITH MY "FORMER PCP, MY SURGEON, MYSELF, AND THE ANESTHESIOLOGIST; THEREFORE, SHE DID NOT KNOW OF MY, SERIOUS REACTION TO THE PROPOFOL ANESTHESIA, USED FOR THE PROCEDURE, NOR DID SHE "BOTHER READING THE "OPERATIVE REPORT, WHEREBY MY SURGEON, INFORMED ME, THAT I HAD "EXPERIENCED SEIZURE ACTIVITY, PRIOR TO THE PROCEDURE", THEREBY "GIVING ME AN "INORDINATE AMOUNT OF ANESTHESIA, TO SAFELY PERFORM MY "SEPTOPLASTY"! DR. BUBRICK WAS ABSENT, PERIOD!

I've had epilepsy since 1993, and she is the first and only doctor to find the right mix of medications for me and allow me to avoid surgery. It took several years and a new med, but she did it. She is realistic about living your life (e.g., you do not need to be a hermit, but you do need to be responsible) and is encouraging about the future such as the possibility of having kids. I feel comfortable telling her the truth & she never rushes me out even if she is behind; I highly recommend her.

She is an amazing doctor! I came to her really messed up because the previous medication I was on (recommended by another doctor) was increasing my seizure episodes instead of actually controlling them. She was caring, empathetic, understood what my family & I were going through, & helped me so much in controlling my seizure episodes. She was very supportive & was willing to work together to get the best treatment possible for me. I was very blessed to find her & I recommend her wholeheartedly.
