Dr. Roh is terrible. Avoid at all costs
Dr. Roh has a very dismissive demeanor about any of the patients concerns. She is also always in a hurry. My last visit with her barely lasted a minute. For most questions, her answer is, “Ask your allergist” or “Ask your Primary Care”. Like why am I paying you for then. Didn’t you go to medical school? Never going back again.

I had a red sore that I asked Dr. Roh about at each appointment for over two years. She said each time that it was benign and she did not biopsy it. I went to a new dermatologist for another matter and he immediately saw the sore and asked to biopsy it. The lab result came back positive and the subsequent procedure ended up being a lot more involved because so much time elapsed. I have permanent damage to that area because so much fat under the skin had to be removed to get out all the growth. Needless to say, I'll never go back.

I stopped seeing Dr Roh. She is pleasant, but skims in her skin assessments. She also blows you off nicely. Any skin issues you present to her and she refers you to cosmetic Derm or esthetician’s. The visits with Dr Roh are a complete waste. She blows you off with a smile.

I have been a patient of Dr. Roh since 2013. I LOVE Dr. Roh. I saw two other doctors before her and they left me feeling helpless, demoralized, and I literally left their offices sobbing. When I got to Dr. Roh she helped me right away and has been committed to finding the right balance of medicine and life style to resolve my skin issues (which is hard to diagnose.) Every time I see her she remembers details about me and my life that makes me feel like she cares. I think when you have skin issues (especially on your face) you want empathy as part of your care. I recieve empathy and effective treatment from Dr. Roh.

I saw Dr. Roh in April 2015. She was very nice and professional. My issue lies with her recommendation that a skin condition could be treated with laser with the Dermatology Laser Center at MGH (DLCC) and would only cost $500. So recently, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Avram at DLCC who told me that it would take 4 treatments of $400 per treatment ($1,600 total) and any good results would be temporary. So I wasted $150 on the consult for nothing. It seems like lack of full dislosure

I would not recommend Dr. Roh or MGH dermatology (I saw two other practitioners there after seeing her) to anybody struggling with acne. She was pleasant, but disinterested, and had a poor understanding of how tazorac should be applied (she said you can't apply it after a moisturizer because then the drug won't be effective - this is incorrect). Acne is really debilitating to one's self esteem and deserves a practitioner's full efforts even if it's considered boring for dermatologists to treat
