I am lukewarm about Dr. Shapiro. I went to him as a referral. Without going into detail, here is my experience. I asked him directly about an issue and could it be connected to a procedure I had. He said, impossible. I sent him peer review articles on the issue, not asking for a response. Last visit, I asked him about the need for using a medicine long term, he said I should. I found out, the medicine can contribute to my issue (not may, but can) also peer reviewed. I asked if there were any new studies on Covid and lost off taste/smell. He said no. I just pulled up a few peer reviewed articles from 2021. Seems like a lack of interest.

I went to him when i was 17-18, now im 35, and had turbinate, deviated septum and polyps surgery. After waking up from surgery i puked up lots of blood and had to stay overnight. Then he had left gauze in after removing the pack. After healing i have all the same problems as before and nothing got better. My cartilage pops off the bone now, I still have a post nasal drain and constant running and stuffed nose.

I am a relatively new patient and Dr. Shapiro is one of the best ENT doctors I have been to in a long time. He is patient, listens to your concerns, and works with you to decide the best course of treatment. Not to mention the Adult & Pediatric ENT Staff go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with the services provided. They are friendly and always greet you with a smile. Highly recommend Adult & Pediatric ENT for anyone who needs help with their ear, nose, and throat care.

Dr. Shapiro sat down on a chair to the right side of me during the entire appointment...he asked me to twist my body around while I was sitting on the exam chair so he could reach my left ear rather than getting up to properly perform the examination on my left side. There was no preparation for my appointment; therefore, I left with no answer, no explanation of test findings, no next step, and a bill of $55.00 for a hearing test that I was not told it wouldn't be covered under my insurance.

I drove an hour and twenty minutes to an appointment on terrible roads. I then waited an hour, before asking about how much longer my wait would be. I was told at least 45 minutes. Needless to say, I find it inconsiderate/ rude that a patients time is not at all valuable. I left and will not be going back.
