2021 Staff is impossible. Dr. Benson may give a plan of care but his staff will not implement it or follow through then you have no way to get to Dr. Benson because the staff won't allow it. All the current staff needs to be fired. You will not get the proper care or even tests ordered due to the current staff. They are rude and have zero compassion and zero competence. Until the staff is replaced, stay away.

I just moved to Coeur d'Alene. I've had my GP in L.A. for over 30 years. Just had my first exam up here and Dr. Benson is the best. He is very thorough, very kind, very informative, and on and on and on. Thank you, Dr. Benson, for being so thorough and thank you for your great bedside manner. I'd give you 10 stars if that was avialable. T. Logan

My sister and I both are looking for new doctors due to wanting a more convenient location as we get older. No one answered when I called, so left a voicemail. I have now waited a month with no return call. My sister had left 2 messages with no response and just texted me again today saying she left a third. I called and a gal Christine answered and when I told her my sister had already left 3 messages in a matter of weeks, she abruptly interrupted me and basically called my sister a liar. I then asked her what about not responding to the message I left a month ago? Pretty interesting odds that 2 people in the same family, but with different last names, both are neglected and then argued with that we're wrong? I stated that first impression is everything. If a new patient can't even get a call back to make a 1st appointment, how safe do you think that person's going to feel when the time comes when they really NEED the doctor? We both will be looking elsewhere.

I have known Dr. Benson for about 15 yrs. Since Carrie left this office has never been the same. Totally disfunctional. Takes forever to send reports to forwarding doctors. Never have I experenced a doctors office like this before. Dr. is great - staff absolutely a disaster.

I agree. Dr. Benson is good but in 2016 his staff sucked. They were rude and continually played "mas macho" with me getting my test results. Once I had to wait 3 months as the receptionist played games with me and finally had to get the results from my other doctor. My husband and I were so upset about the constant staff attitudes that I swore that I would never go back. But I don't think Dr.Benson was aware However, "most" of them are gone. The one person that started it all is still there

Concerned patient in Post Falls – Nov 09, 2018
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Benson?
Dr. Benson is incredibly patient and thorough. I recently had my first appointment with him and could not have been more impressed with him and his staff. He took a great deal of time talking to me about my personal and family health history. It was the most thoughtful, complete conversation with a physician that I have had in almost 60 years of life. I left his office feeling confident that he would go the extra mile to address my concerns and provide excellent care.

One of the best doctors I have ever met. Very good at finding out what is actually happing with a paitent. Listens well. I worked in the medical field for 30 years as an administrator and If anyone can provide an objective analysis of a physicians abilities it would be someone like myself.

Dr. Benson as himself is the best, he has helped me soo much in the recent past i have nothing but good things to say about him. As for his staff though, they are short tempered, arrogent, lazy, and have no compassion or empathy for the patients. They feel attacked when asked questions and respond defensively, leaving the patient feeling unwanted and uncared for. They have no urgency when tasked with prescription refils, and do not prioritize accordingly.

Dr. Benson is wonderful. His recent staff changes however make his office difficult to reach. Often times no answer for hours on end. If you leave a message, you might get a response in what they call the industry standard 24-48 hours. The previous staff members were much friendlier and made you feel like family. Not anymore.

Dr. Benson is by far the best doctor ive ever met. He takes the time to listen to you and look into what could be wrong. I would still be suffering everyday with no idea why. Because im so young every doctor i went to, not one got the source of my medical problems. So i would prefer dr. Benson to everyone and guarantee satisfaction.
