I saw Eric Hanson about an unexplainable rash on my shin. I was able to get an appointment quickly, but the experience of spending time in the same room as him was the least pleasant experience I've had with any medical provider. From the small things like not introducing himself to the big things like never actually getting closer than 6 feet to look at my shin and the worst thing with his condescending, arrogant, and pompous attitude, I have no reason to trust him or his diagnosis. He apparently believed I was there for a Socratic lesson on skin, but I wanted someone to actually look and listen to what I had to say about the rash in large part because I had shingles as a kid and thought this might be related. He never once asked any questions about what I do for my skin and came to some pretty ridiculous assumptions about my whole life story of using soap and showering. Six weeks later, the rash is gone, but some of the irritation remains. Now, looking for a new dermatologist.

Very though.
I went in for a spot on my back and Dr. Hanson removed it. I had previously seen other dermatologists and had to go back again. He takes care of the problem.

Yrs ago he gave chemo cr & light tx. Recently went to yearly check, told him don't want that tx again, as is too painful. He put his hands behind his back & rudely said, "my hands are tied", put me down to his asst. & repeated hands tied & can't help me. He spent only 5 min checking my skin & done. I asked about a spot on cheek, said is precancer, again put hands behind back and said "my hands are tied" & walked out. Didn't offer to freeze it, etc. He is very arrogant and unprofessional.

Dr. Hanson is not your warm and fuzzy personality, but he has a nice no-nonsense bedside manner and truly cares for his patients.
