I traveled almost 2 hours to see Dr. Pots, I was highly disappointed. My reason for the visit was in hopes to find out about the new Premia "Tops" procedure, which keeps motion of the spine instead of the traditional fusion. I had to bring it up myself. He blew it off, "that won't be FDA approved for 6 months or so". That was that, Dr. Pots didn't even promote it or give any information for the "Tops". He was also very arrogant!!! My husband noticed that as well. Live and learn, wasted gas and waste of time. I would rather travel to Colorado where the orthopedic physicians actually advertises for the less invasive procedures as well as the "Tops".

I’d been struggling with serious sciatica issues for 6+ years, and various chiropractors and physical therapists couldn’t cure it. Finally I went to Goodman Campbell, and now wish I hadn’t waited so long (I tried everything to avoid surgery). Dr. Potts performed micro-lumbar discectomy surgery on me to correct a badly herniated L5-S1 disc. Minimally invasive surgery is his specialty, and he and his staff were very supportive and the surgery went great (and I walked in and out of the hospital in less than about 3 hours total). I’d highly recommend Dr. Potts to anybody.

Dr. Potts was recommended by my family doctor, as I am needing major back surgery. Dr Potts and his staff are very professional, attentive, easy to talk to and thorough. He has fully explained my condition to me, my surgical and non-surgical options, the procedure I’ve selected in detail and recovery expectations. I trust his judgment, and from my research I have total trust in his skills as a surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Potts and the team at Goodman-Campbell.

Absolutely would NOT recommend Dr. Potts. I prefer to give ZERO stars. I have never met a doctor who acted more disinterested and dismissive than this doctor. Waited over an hour past appointment time to see this doctor for 10 mins, get no answers, and then referred to another doctor in same practice.

He has terrible bedside manners After my two level a ACDF surgery I developed pain .Not believing my pain issues I demanded an MRI which showed adjacent segment disease four months postop. His response was this is never happened to me before unless it was 10 years down the road or someone was much older. In hindsight I should’ve gone up another level but I couldn’t operate on your whole spine was his response I later realized that he relied on his nurse practitioners summary of my MRI which completely ignored the C3 four and she mistakenly use the word mild instead of mid which was related to bleeding on my spinal cord

Dr. Potts was very professional and friendly. Those who perform surgeries have a stereotype that they will simply "cut" for the sake of cutting. That is, they will simply perform surgery for a bigger paycheck. Dr. Potts didn't fit this stereotype. He informed me that I did not need to have surgery at this time and should take other measures first. He placed his focus on proper care for ME. Not only do I I highly recommend him, but I wish more doctors would take this same approach.

I suffered from severe central spinal stenosis. Dr. Pots was very friendly, respectful and sympathetic. He did a great job explaining my problem while using a model so I fully understood what was going on. He fully explained the surgery and recovery which made me feel comfortable. His nurse gave me her telephone number if I had any further questions. I found the whole experience comforting.

Dr. Potts and his entire staff are awesome!!!!! I am new to the Indy area and did not know who I should go to for my spinal surgery. A friend from another state who had the same surgery the year before asked his physician for recommendations for the Indy area. He recommended Dr. Potts and I am so glad he did. Being a retired OR nurse, I dreaded the surgery. The preop preparation was so thorough it really put me at ease. The surgery went excellently and my recovery has been so smooth!! When I woke up in the recovery room, my severe sciatica was gone!! My life is back to normal!!

Upon reading John T’s review I must speak! John (oh, by the way, name is John as well) must live in the perfect world. If any professional were late for an appointment, perhaps they gave of their time to a previous patient in order to be professional. I had fusion surgery in 2010. Dr. Potts was very professional from the inception of our patient/doctor relationship to the day I WALKED out of the hospital. In fact, I could have joined. I recently to a bad fall and if need new, Dr. Potts is my man

This wonderful doctor and his staff literally gave me my life back. I was first diagnosed with spondylolisthesis at age 20 and 46 years later decided to consult with him about what could be done to help. I had a bad limp, sciatica, constant pain, bursitis in my hip from the limp, etc. Walking had become difficult and only accomplished with the aid of pain killers. He operated and corrected my spine including some fusions. I am pain free, first time in over 40 years. Eternally grateful.
