Told me I needed counseling my pain is in my head
Dr.H is dismissive with the after care . He did my carpel tunnel surgery and rerouted a pinched nerve in my elbow…he did wonderful getting the numbness away…BUT now I’m left with a pulsing throbbing feeling 5 months later from a nerve by my elbow bone…the lightest touch to my elbow and I feel like I just wacked it on something hard. I can no longer open a car door with out sharp pain in my wrist or turn a door handle or carry a 12 pack or pour a gallon of milk without it feeling like I broke my wrist….I was set up for cort injections in my wrist which I was planning to do until he said “ I think you need counseling” like the pain I’m feeling is all in my head….he would not listen when trying to explain .just told me “you came in crying bc you’d wake up with arms numb and I fixed that”….”your the only person that’s complained”…… I walked out bc I will NOT have a doctor pretty much call me a hypochondriac.. so he would have had 5 stars across the board if would have just listened and not

Need to be seen Trying to schedule an appointment
Have been trying for two weeks to schedule an appointment with doctor. My primary care physician referred me to Dr. E. Hornbach, although I have been a patient for years. I had surgery done January 2019, left thumb , arthroplasty with for tendon transfer, I had my right thumb Trapezium excision February 2021. Painful, the right thumb area very painful. The left hand is also painful but not as bad. I have taken the necessary radiographs and the referral from my primary care physician. I am having problems getting through your gate keeper who schedules appointments. Very frustrating

Dr. Hornbach is a great hand surgeon
Dr, Horbach is now located at Clinton Memorial. His staff is fabulous. Phone calls are promptly returned. He treated me for trigger thumb 7 years ago. When I developed thumb tendonitis in Sept. 2021, I wanted to be referred to him but he had left MSU. In Nov. 2021, I developed severe hand pain. I was told I had arthritis. I heard Dr. Horbach was at Clinton and got a referral. When I met Dr. Hornbach in Dec. he diagnosed trigger finger in 2 fingers in addition to thumb tendonitis .Surgery was performed and I no longer have pain. Dr. Horbach is the best hand surgeon in this area. I highly recommend him.

I've been diagnosed with Dupuytren's Disease and was referred to Dr. Hornbach by Dr. Kenneth Stephens for a second opinion way back in January. I was told that I couldn't possibly be seen until April. I contacted the office twice in the interim to let Dr. Hornbach know that the condition was getting worse and more painful, hoping that this might speed up my referral. I just called today, since it was the three stated months after the initial referral, and was first told, "We don't have any record of your referral." I insisted that this had to be wrong. After some checking, I got this reply "Well, you probably wouldn't be seen until July and probably not even then because he doesn't even have time for you." That's simply an outrageous thing to say and totally unprofessional. So no, I have not been seen by Hornbach, but at this point I would not want to be because the way an office runs is a reflection of the doctors at its heart.

Dr. Eric Hornbach did surgery on my hand on 09/08/2020. The procedure at Mclaren Hospital (east campus) was super clean and the people I dealt with there were kind. I have had Dr. Eric Hornbach do numerous surgery on my hands I have found him and his staff to be professional, and very caring. He is the go-to hand wrist and arm surgeon in the Michigan area.
