Excellent doctor I strongly recommend her
She is very nice, got my diagnosis before my primary care physician!!, she stabilized me in one month!! Now she is the psychiatrist of all my family

Terrible doctor doesn’t listenb
Dr Ferrer doesn’t listen leaving to to repeat facts over and over. When I politely explained she was not a fit and tried to leave she screamed at me, I don’t want to treat you anyway like a child. This lady is supposed to be equipped to deal with people in mental health crisis she is not and should be struck off.

I have known Dr. Ferrer since we worked together in Mental Health at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles more than 10 years ago. I found her to be very knowledgeable, consistent, culturally competent, and empathetic with patients and their families.

See her if you have no other options
It's so challenging to find a psychiatrist, especially if you're in a state of desperation and need help quickly. If that's the case, go to her. However, her practices and beliefs are outdated, and I would be wary of seeking long-term treatment from her. Do your research, speak up for yourself, and be insistent with your needs.
