Dr Gurman ordered MRI, and after reviewing it with me, scheduled a series of injections to alleviate the pain. This doctor is not scared he's a man about what he does. Does not waste any of the patients time. He spent alot of time after I'd already got my super successful injections calling and setting up my surgery. He knows everyone in the industry. He has an well staffed office. No one seems overwhelmed. Impressive. He's the doctor you want.

I was very nervous about seeing a pain specialist. I had had a run around with several doctors about whether my back pain was thoracic, lumbar or was it actually the SI joint. He was the first Doctor who actually took the time to listen to me. I was impressed with his knowledge. He gave me a variety of care options and applied no pressure to me. I would recommend Dr. German. I liked him a lot and left the office feeling much better.

Only see this man if you enjoy condescension and want to be talked out of pain medication. What a waste of time and he never took care of my condition completely only to be lied to and cut my medication off.

Dr. Gurman is very informative in explaining his care for your condition. He has does an excellent job at helping me manage my pain. With Dr. Gurman's help I can live a much more functional life. I would recommend him to anyone who is living with pain.

Very through, explain things

Very knowledgeable . Made me feel comfortable and heard. He explained my areas of pain to me and what could be done. Since going to smart Pain this is the best most understanding dr I’ve had. He explained my mri and nerve damage test from a year ago. This is the first time fully explained to me. I highly recommend him to anyone. I want to continue to see him.

Dr Gurman is not just world class , he is a universe class physician. He (as well as all of the doctors at Smart Pain ) are at the top of their field. I suffered with severe headaches for many years ,saw many specialists, and finally Dr Gurman diagnosed and treated my headaches in a few minutes. My only regret...that I didn't see him earlier. He has also been treating my back pain and has done a wonderful job. Couldn't ask for any better as he is the best !

I went to Dr. Furman seeking legitimate, professional pain management for a shattered left wrist which he didn't even ask to look at or about it. He described himself as an interventionist as if I needed intervention. Note I haven't ever in my life sought a pain medication but was treated as if I were an addict trying to scam the doctor. In legitimate need at this time with documented serious injury as my reason for seeking help at this time and realizing that Dr. Gurman's sole interests were in selling electrical implant devices I was highly offended by his treatment of my case. One final note. As soon as he realized that I was not interested in his proposed implants he dismissed me as not worth his time. He went so far as to say he couldn't help me without considering or discussing any of the various proven treatments otherwise available to the medical profession for effectively treating pain issues such as is evidenced in my case.
