Dr. Ferhad Bashir, MD

Totally disturbed by the staff and lack of continuity of care.

The visit went great after I waited 2 months to get in to see him. He started me on a round of medications. Scheduled to go back for follow up 2 weeks later to see if meds were helping. Got a phone call yesterday to cancel my appointment, can’t get rescheduled for 2 months. What am I supposed to do? The follow up was to adjust , make changes to meds. This is not a way to treat patients. I’m VERY disappointed in this Dr. and Memorial Herman. You don’t give someone a prescription that they have never taken and change an appt. or CANCEL the appt. This is NOT the standard or ethics that I expect from a physician!

I have been to several neurologist including the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. I wish I had found Dr. Bashir earlier. First time I have been out of pain with my headaches. He really listened and his approach worked so far. I would highly recommend him.

Too much to go in to detail. It was a very bad experience and I wouldn't let this guy treat my dog much less me or anyone else I know. OHHH, My MOM saw him and also had an unpleasant experience . He likely caused a delay in her cancer diagnosis. Best advice- See someone else.

Dr. Bashir successfully diagnosed my rare headache condition and helped me get it under control. I'm now living my normal daily life headache free for the past 18 months. After seeing three different neurologists, having countless tests and imaging done, and almost deciding to give up on myself, I found Dr. Bashir. He spent TIME with me think tanking my situation. This in and of itself in a neurologist is so hard to find: someone who will exceed the 15 minute mark listening to you and talking through things with you. He thinks outside of the "migraine box" that every headache doctor i'd seen beforehand refused to look beyond. I found Dr Bashir while he was at Emory and I don't know where he is practicing now. I wish I did; he is the only neurologist who I'd ever want to see again, but at least thanks to him I have a diagnosis and a management plan. Thank you, Dr. Bashir! I hope you read this, and I hope others who are close to giving up the hope of resolving their headaches read this.
