Terrible bedside manner. Seems annoyed by patients
My father was very ill and saw Dr. Newman for an endoscopy and colonoscopy. When he asked if there were any questions he kept talking without waiting to see if there were questions. When my dad started to ask a question, Dr. Newman held up his hand and rudely said 'Let me finish' and kept talking. He never got back around to letting him ask the question. My dad ended up in the ER to have a procedure done by Dr. Newman. After Dr. Newman came in to talk to him and my mom (I was there and witnessed this) my dad attempted to ask a question, and Dr. Newman did the same thing...held up his hand and rudely said 'Let me finish' and then walked out without even acknowledging my dad WHO IS THE PATIENT. His bedside manner is absolutely disgusting. He needs to learn how to show compassion and care to his patients.

Best GI
I have Crohn’s and have seen a couple of GI’s and Dr. Newman is by far my favorite. He listens very well and explains things in a way you can understand. He spends an ample amount of time with each of his patients so if you go to him just know your appointment will not be rushed through because he truly wants to help you. I’ll definitely see him for as long as he practices in Pensacola.

Only interaction with doc was he called in a liver scan before any visit or communication of issue? Why? I don’t know, I’ve asked for call back from nurse or doc. Nothing! Would I get a follow-up if I went through test? Who knows? Why was test ordered? Who knows?

From the moment I arrived the entire medical team provided excellent care. I was put at ease by their highly organized procedures and willingness to listen to any concerns I had. The anesthesiologist, the nurse in the procedure room and the doctor were all excellent. Dr. Newman took time to listen to my questions before the procedure, did the procedures extremely well and followed up with my wife and I afterwards in a caring fashion. I highly recommend Dr. Newman and the Endoscopy Center!

If he was the last gastroenterologist on earth, i wouldn't go to him. I was diagnosed with diverticulitis and told by dr. in the hospital to be on bowel rest for 8 weeks. Once i got home, i couldn't tolerate the medicine so we went to see newman. He insisted on a colonoscopy, which is the furthest thing from bowel rest. My colon perforated half hour after drinking the prep for the colonoscopy. I now wear a ostomy bag because of this so called doctor. Don't make the mistake and go to him.
