Great neurologist! Really cares about his patients!

I have been disabled and seriously ill for over 7 years. Dr. Sheean was the first to figure out what was truly wrong with me and he treated me right away. My quality of life has improved more than I can express because of him. He gets right down to business and doesn't waste time, but is intensely thorough and open to suggestion. He is not pushy, arrogant, or overbearing. He never pretends to know it all. Dr. Sheean is the epitome of a good doctor, he has changed so many lives. Highly recommend!

One of the most thurough physicians I have met personally and as a nurse of 25 years. Not only that but such a pleasant and professional gentleman. Never arrogant just down to business and pleasant. He is extremely knowledgeable about rare genetic diseases such as Dysautonomia which is such a blessing to have in this community. Physicians like him with the specialized knowledge base and concern for his patients deserve the recognition. Thank you Dr Sheean for making a difference.

I would never recommend Dr. Sheean to a friend or family member. Upon our first meeting he declared my diagnosis without the benefit of multiple tests confirming it. When additional tests were performed under the guidance of another doctor, proved his diagnosis incorrect, Dr. Sheean would not discuss the matter further.

I am new to San Diego. Sheean was recommended by another physician (not in San Diego) who thought Sheean could handle the complex components of my movement disorder. Without seeing my medical records, Sheean referred me to a novice physician. I declined the referral. Note: my dog's vet checks his patient's medical records before making decisions or referrals.

After six years and nearly 100 doctors, including Mayo Clinic--(all of which said something was wrong but didn't know what) Dr. Sheean recognized my wife's disorder (venous thoracic outlet syndrome) in less than ten minutes. He then ordered the tests to confirm his diagnosis. I think everyone has their 'If Only' that if they could change it life would be perfect, and Dr. Sheean has given us hope we can eliminate our 'if only'. His Secretary, Mercedes, deserves kudos as well

He knew what he was doing, and took me seriously. He was polite and actually had common sense something I've found a lot of doctors d9by have. All in all best doctor I've seen.
