My father had a hemorrhagic stroke in December 30 2023 and was in the hospital for 2 months then did rehab. He just came home on the 18th of March. Geisinger scheduling scheduled his follow up with Dr Rymarczuk because it was the soonest appointment with a neurosurgeon. The sheer heart break in my mothers voice when she told me how the appointment went, broke my heart. He treated them both with such disgrace; complained that he missed appointments while he was inpatient at a specialty hospital and wouldn’t address his high blood pressure in office (stated to go to his PCP about it). Considering high BP is the main reason he had the stroke in the first place, this doctor simply must have felt my fathers case was a waste of his time. He did at least order a brain CT but the lack of compassion is disgusting and disheartening. We’ve never had such a horrible experience with a Geisinger physician.

Looking over my archived data today and wanted to say thank you again to him and his staff and all that helped saved me at Landstuhl, air evac to Water Reid Medical Center. PFO (hole in my heart) was path of blood clot that went to my cerebellum. PFO closure performed at Knoxville Heart group, Dr. Ayres. Thank you to all!

Dr. Rymarczuk treated my husband in Germany after he got attacked and had a frontal fracture. Being an MD myself I have never seen better competence and bedside manner ever before.
