Great surgeon
Incredibly talented surgeon. One recommendation for him is to not be sarcastic and “short” (even though he probably didn’t mean to offend). When we asked how blood thinners and possible diet might affect the patient’s current pancreatitis and GI issues (risk of a gastric bleed?) he said, “Don’t take this the wrong way, but I don’t care about his food. That’s not my area.”Well, okay then. Our family suspects that a better, more helpful answer was possible in that moment. Sometimes the most brilliant doctors still struggle with holistic patient questions and sensitivity. Heart procedures are stressful for families — kindness is free, Dr. Yankey

I had a cardiac catheterization and stent placed.
Dr. Yankey explained the procedure and gave me a before & after videoshowing the blood flow. All the staff was great and food was good. I felt good about the result.
