Dr. George Stergis, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Stergis for many years. He has always been professional and honest. He knew my concerns with medication and we discussed the options to treat my headaches. He is the integral part of why I do not have headaches and know what to do to fend them off.

I Loved him! He was so understanding and had knowledge of restless leg syndrome..which has plagued me for decades…most doctors don’t understand how it can affect one so seriously..he had suggestions for my medications which he explained very well….excellent manner…and compassion…

I thank the LORD that I was seen by Dr. Stergis. He was kind, compassionate and had a leather bag to keep his doctor supplies. In July of 2011, he saw to it that I had a brain MRI which revealed a tumor the size of a chicken egg! UVA removed the benign tumor, then set up regular brain MRIs to make sure that it they would be ready in case it came back. It did come back about a year and a half later, but as a Grade 4 Glioblastoma. The deadliest brain cancer known to medicine. I underwent radiation therapy as well as chemotherapy. It's been over SEVEN years later, and I thank the LORD every time I think of Dr. Stergis.

Dr. Stergis has an attentive and caring staff that focus on the patient. He himself is one of the most knowledgeable neurologist around with a deep understanding on headache control options. He has provided me with relief to my daily migraines, which as struggling patients know can be a disability. I would recommend him to anyone who needs help. You should give him a try, you wont be disappointed.

Well worth the visit. He is a brilliant neurologist.

Dr. Stergis was pleasant & concerned about my problem. He took plenty of time to talk & I didn't feel rushed. I recommend him & would go back if needed.

DID NOT HELP ME AT ALL !!!!! I KEPT ON LOOSING MY HAIR AFTER TAKING THE MEDS HE PRESCRIBED

would rate this Dr as a negative if I could. Was referred to Dr. Stergis by my primary care, his office said they would send me a packet with my appointment time and forms in the mail. I NEVER got the appointment in the mail, what I DID get though was a $200.00 bill for a missed appointment!! I've never seen this doctor, never spoken to him or her and I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PERSON TO ANYONE.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Stergis and his staff. I have been seeing Dr. Stergis for 20+ years due to my MS. Dr. Stergis has always taken the time necessary to address all of my concerns and is always promt. I have never waited no longer than 10 minutes prior to an appointment. Dr. Stergis and his staff has always gone out of their way in making me feel comfortable, as well as always being prompt in addressing and returning calls in a timely manner.

I feel so fortunate to find Dr. Stergis , from the moment I met him I knew I had found a doctor and would not have to look further. His personality and attitude makes you feel comfortable and at ease ,you can discuss everything knowing that he is concerned . Dr, Stergis is well informed and I trust him as my doctor. We always have a good talk before I leave, sometimes even making me laugh and is everything a good doctor should be ! I have myasthenia gravis and positively trust Dr. Stergis

Dr Stergis is one of a kind. He takes the time to go over everything with you. He really cares about you as a patent, not just a number.

I've been seeing Dr. Sturgis for over 10 years for a reason. He gives me his opinion, but he actually listens to me. This quality is very important to me. It is also, unfortunately, unlike most of the other doctors I have ever seen. His staff is great too.

I recently moved from Virginia Beach and I have had a lot of obstacles with obtaining a follow-up appointment with a neurologist. Dr. Stergis was recommended via the Culpeper hospital, but trying to get in touch with him was extremely difficult. His staff placed a message on 12/17 about their reduced hours and did not answer the phones on any of the days that I called during their reduced hours. I continued to receive a recording.
