Dr. Geraldine Jean, DO

Mean, condescending, threatened to put me in OR when I was getting stitched up with no medication because I wasn’t sitting still enough for her. Didn’t provide any informed consent, I had to specifically ask her what she was doing. She ruined my first experience giving birth. I should’ve fired her. Stay away at all costs.

Told me she should refuse to fill my pill prescription because I was 40 and needed to be having babies pronto! Also asked me for dating advice in this small town while giving me my pap. She became very angry that my pap was difficult, due to internal scarring from a traumatic incident, jabbed at me until i began to bleed and told me to just get my regular doctor to do it from now on.

It was horrible to put it nicely. Yesterday my daughter turned 10 years old. The day of her birth I was excited and ready to document her birth by video, but as soon as my wife started to push Dr. Jean screams at me to put my camera down and help as if I was working for her. This was my 3rd child and Dr. Jean was the worst OBGYN my wife and I had dealt with. Doctor Jean had no compassion or people skills in dealing with a family who should been having one of the happiest time of our life. To say Dr Jean was rude would be an understatement. To this day I have not viewed the footage I shot of my daughter’s birth because of the fear of reliving that horrible experience. What made it horrible?Dr. Jean had threatened my wife twice that if she didn’t push our daughter out that she was going to perform a Csection on her unbeknown to the Doctor till later that our daughter was facing the wrong way and would not have come out due to that situation. Emergency Csection had to be performed.

I was thinking of her 10 years later today because I’m still mad about how she was always unkind m. She was always so short with me. She was cruel during the birth of my child. Baby was stuck but she yelled at me for not being able to push her out until her presumptuous self finally figured out the baby was backwards.

She seems to get confused over the simplest things. Had an attitude, wondered why my primary doctor ordered bloodwork when she had already done so but that was a year ago.

Geraldine obviously did not read my chart before seeing me and then proceeded to argue with my about whether I was in menopause or not. She was rude and unhelpful. I finally ended up with another provider who straightened out the mess Geraldine had caused.
