Condescending attitude, does not call back, poor bedside manner

If I could rate with a ZERO I would because after driving from Queens, picking my Mom up in West Babylon to take her to this new doctor & running a few minutes behind because of traffic on West Main Street, all while letting his staff know the situation & while the receptionist working from home told us to go into the office cause we were in the parking lot, my Mom was turned away ten minutes after signing in. They claimed the doctor was overbooked yet only had two male patients sitting there. I personally feel that after everything that we were put through that this doctor is not worth the gas I wasted or the mileage I put on my truck. I feel that he is a Heartless human being & as far as his staff, goes, they both were rude, extremely obnoxious and disrespectful to my 80+ year old Mom. My Mom was turned away, does this seem like he is a caring & an understanding physician. Anyone that was truly, kind, caring and compassionate would be more understanding towards elderly patients.

This particular doctor is excellent in every sense of the word however, the system in which we need to contact his office is absolutely horrendous, there is no more personal communication you have to go through Northwell Health which sometimes takes 45 minutes or more.

Dr. DeCarolis is thorough, calm and a terrific diagnostician. His office runs on time, every time. I have finally found my forever PCP.

Dr DeCarolis is extremely personable, empathetic and sharp. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

if you’d like to wait for an hour and then have the office manager say that they can’t estimate when the dr will actually see you - he is your man. I think it is very rude, if the dr can’t see you for an hour or more after time of appt - then make it for a later time! You never get back a chance to make good first impression, make a different choice
