Excellent Care
Dr. Nikata determined that I needed a "C4-5 ACDF with stand-alone device" to treat my neck pain and I agreed to the procedure. The experience from start to finish was great. Dr. Nikata was caring, communicated well and listened to my concerns. I am now 4 weeks post op. and I have essentially no neck pain, and I haven't even started physical therapy yet. I would highly recommend Dr. Nikata and his wonderful staff.

Dr. Nakata is the nicest, most personable Dr. you could ask for. He was understanding, sympathetic and is very good with his explanations. I had a bad bulging disc. I was in agony. I couldn't stand, sit, bathe or sleep normally. I barely left my house bc I hurt so bad. I was hunched over and used a cane to walk. He scheduled me for surgery as soon as he could. He did a laminectomy / microdiscectomy on my L5 left side. When I woke up, the sciatica was gone! I've talked to ppl and watched videos on other's who had this surgery with different Drs, but my recovery seemed so much smoother than theirs and 11 weeks post op the scar's barely noticeable. I'm a 32yr old F btw. He actually gave me my life back. Yes, you do talk to nurses for follow ups etc... but that's pretty standard and his nurses seem very attentive. I am just over the moon with how well I am doing. I may end up having to do something on my right side eventually and If I have my choice, I would absolutely choose Dr. Nakata.

Dr. Nakata performed back surgery on my elderly mother almost 3 years ago now and she has been in constant pain ever since. Almost worse than before the surgery. The absolute worse part is that Dr. Nakata will NEVER meet with his patients in person. He always has a nurse or assistant meet with them and it takes weeks to get anywhere. With her horrible outcome from the surgery he has only seen her 2 or 3 times at most and no advice or help on what to do next. Clearly the surgery was not a success and he could care less. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone.

I will be forever grateful to Dr Nakata and Stephanie for giving me my life back! My spinal fusion has removed every bit of pain I was experiencing for years. I found Dr Nakata to be kind, patient and never over anxious to get me into surgery. After years of trying acupuncture, massage, pain shots, chiropractic, physical therapy, even heavy duty magnets...nothing worked. I am now 150% better and so happy to resume a normal level of activity. Thank you from the bottom of my heart !!!!!!!!!!!

Nine months ago I was basically in extensive pain almost all the time. Today...none! Dr Nakata and his team, ( Yes Stephanie, I know how very much you did for me.) reconfigured my spine and helped me all the way through the process. Dr Nakata was very kind and patient with me for several years while I resisted having the work done until I couldn't stand it anymore. Today I work, walk, exercise and I am basically pain free. Great job, I am forever grateful. Ellie Collins

Dr. Nakata helped get me back walking again in a very short amount of time from injury. He was kind, patient and thorough in explaining everything to me about what he was going to do. He was pleasant and patient with my family after surgery. GREAT experience having him for a surgeon. Stephanie Ellis in his office is beyond FABULOUS! She has walked every step from diagnosis through surgery and then following up with a great referral to physical therapy.

Right from the initial visit with Dr. Nakata I was confident in his ability to fix my back. None of the subsequent visits changed my opinion. It was always clear what my problem was and how he would go about fixing it. My results have been miraculous, in my opinion, and I am thankful every day. Before the operation I was unable to walk without a great deal of pain. It has been a little over a year since and I can now walk with no pain. I am grateful to the good doctor!

Dr Nakata's approach is very professional, but comfortable. He used my MRI to demonstrate to me why I was having such pain and how he could fix that. He exudes confidence and I was very comfortable putting my back surgery in his hands. The results were, as I thought they would be, excellent. I am now pain free and getting my strength and flexibility back.
