Dr. D is fine and quick to use expensive drugs. The problem is his nurse did not tell me nor my insurance that she "supposedly pre- authorized" that the Stelara injection was going to cost $35,000. Yes thirty five thousand dollars! My insurance was never notified therefore are not covering this ridiculous amount for 1 injection. Needless to say we are involving the Ohio State Medical Board and the courts.

First, I had to wait 6 months to get an appt. I was referred by my internal med dr. for increasing generalized joint pain and fatigue. Dr. Delorenzo is dismissive, and, as another reviewer stated, disingenuous. I didn't even get 15 minutes with him. I told him my pain started in the medial joint of my right elbow. He completely ignored my history, told me I had "tennis elbow", and sent me away. I told this to my new physician, who laughed, "That's not even tennis elbow, that's golfer's elbow". I recently relayed my experience to my elderly mother without mentioning Dr. Delorenzo's name, and she actually guessed who it was because she had seen him, too, with the same results. Btw, I do have a progressive rheumatologic disease which he failed to diagnose. No thanks to Dr. Delorenzo for wasting my time and failing to diagnose me. I can't get that time back, but I am much better and functioning once again thanks to my NEW dr! If you need a rheumatologist, please DON'T SEE THIS ONE.

Dr Delorenzo is thorough and listens. He is willing to try other medications if you're not getting the relief you need from what you've been prescribed. I believe he understands Psoriatic Arthritis and the associated problems better than other physicians. I've recommended him to our patients many times.

He has been treating me for three years since I was hospitalized. He immediately did testing that within two weeks gave me an accurate diagnosis. My appointments with him are very good as he listens and answers my questions and concerns. His treatment has stabilized my condition currently and I am grateful for his help and professionalism. I would highly recommend him.

If a new problem arises all I hear is "maybe this" and "maybe that" with no follow through. That's the same attitude that left me with 10yrs of AS being ignored. Anytime I talk I feel like I'm talking to myself. He makes me feel like he believes I'm lying. He acts more like an attorney working for the "other side", but I know now that his smile is as disingenious as any could be. Just getting my Humira renewed is becoming a battle and I end up missing doses. I don't trust him. Not one bit!

Dr. Delorenzo is an excellent physician. He is aggressive with his treatment of RA and I have no visible signs of RA after 11 years. He is caring and listens to your concerns. I was looking for a new Dr. and called the RA Foundation and he was recommended. I am very pleased.
