Dr Velasco is very knowledgeable and genuinely care for her patients.

The doctor was nice enough. My problem was with the billing. I went in for JUST my annual pap. When asked if I wanted STD testing I said no, not necessary. I actually had a lengthy conversation with the doctor mostly about my skin because of breakouts. There were 4 females in there, the doctor, someone by a computer, doctors assistant and myself. A few days later I receive a bill not covered by my insurance. I contacted my insurance and they informed me they ran STD testing..even though I said no. They contacted the doctor and they spoke with a Bertha. She stated the those two tests were standard labs for someone my age..see email attached. Now, to my knowledge an annual pap smear is only to test for cancerous cells so I do not know why this doctors office is including STD testing with their pap smears. If they were going to run those tests why did they bother asking me if I wanted them. I do not recommend this place because they ran unnecessary testing and lied to me about it.

She is beyond a 5 star doctor. She knows all her patients well. Nurses at Regional Hospital all raved about how I picked a wonderful doctor. I am normally a very picky person and I dont have a single bad thing to say. From sweet front staff to great bedside manners I have enjoyed my experience tremendously and highly highly recommend her. Thank you office and thank you Dr. Velasco for never making me feel like just a number type patient. :)

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Velasco, who was rude and condescending. She made inappropriate comments and provided unsolicited and completely uninformed weight-loss advice when I was merely there for a pap smear. I held back tears on my way out. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. I highly recommend anyone looking for a OBGYN looks somewhere else. The staff was very polite and sweet. Unfortunately, the doctor does not she their professionalism.

Dr . Velasco is an amazing doctor! She cares, takes time to listen to your concerns and it definitely a blessing to have as a doctor.

Very pleased with Dr. Velasco and her staff. She spends time with you to explain everything and listens to any concerns you might have. She is very calming which helps when you can be stressed out during your pregnancy.
