Thankful for this excellent & compassionate doctor
Dr. Pineless cared for my father, who had Parkinson’s, until Dad died at age 97. He still cares for my mother, age 99. For an example of the kind of man he is, when my father died he personally called my mother to express his sympathies. He is a very kind and caring man and treats patients and their families with respect. He is also an excellent diagnostician, discovering my father’s Parkinson’s which had been overlooked by many because he did not have tremors. Diagnosis and medication helped my father greatly. I am very thankful to have a doctor like Dr. Pineless to care for my parents.

Old School: doing things the same way for 40+yrs…
I am guardian over a family member (epilepsy, cerebral palsy, legally blind) who lives in a small group home. After a move, two visits were made to Pineless in 2022 after a move necessitated a new neurologist. The group home manager preferred that she take him to first visit in which Pineless refused to work with her insisting to see me even though a concise write up along with previous neurologist records. My visit with him, didn’t go well as he refused to write a med change in accordance with APD rules (time(s) of day, treatment) because he had been doing it his way for 40+ years, which required unnecessary phone calls to his staff, which he did not correct. He also responded to a request for clearance for oral surgery in such a way that made it almost impossible to have this minor problem taken care of. Although he may be a competent neurologist, I would not recommend Dr. Hal Pineless because of his refusal to work with the practical concerns of my family member.

Condescending
My mother-in-law went to see Dr. Pineless for a second opinion on an undiagnosed condition that has deteriorated over the past year. He had her walk down a hallway and declared her healthy despite her being literally hospitalized last week due to an episode where she lost control over motor skills. I couldn’t help but feel he was extremely condescending and sexist as my sister-in-law tried to explain our ongoing concerns. Further, he didn’t seem to care whether or not our mother was doing well, he didn’t speak to her directly during the appointment and seemed eager to dismiss her health issues as being not neurological. Poor bedside manner and overall seeming lack of concern. Would certainly not recommend.

I would not recommend Dr. Pineless for anyone who has unusual symptoms. I had an abnormal MRI and we went thru the tests for MS, and he ordered expensive MRIs and a lumbar puncture before even ordering blood work that could've indicated that I don't have MS. After discovering that I don't have MS, he told me to go to a therapist and maybe that would help with my symptoms, and just gave up to pass me off on someone else. He's a nice guy (when he actually shows his face), but does not have a holistic approach. Also, the woman who manages his office is one of the rudest people I've ever met in my life. She made me cry in the waiting room.

I have been seeing Dr. Pineless for the past five months for migraines. He and his staff have provided me with excellent care. Dr. Pineless gives me all the time I need with him, and I never feel like I'm being rushed. He has a great bedside manner and is genuinely concerned about my health. He prescribed a medication that has completely eliminated my painful migraines. The medication he prescribed was rather expensive, and his staff worked with me to find ways to obtain the medication at a reduced cost. The front-office personnel went above and beyond to help me. They are friendly, positive, and thorough. The folks who have provided negative reviews about this practice must have been having bad days! I was happy to refer my daughter to Dr. Pineless, and she also raved about her experience.

We scheduled with Dr. Pineless' office after my sister was diagnosed as recovering from meningitis from a hospital visit. The address listed in google is incorrect so my Mom and sister arrived at the wrong location. Finally receiving the correct address they arrived "too late" to fill out paperwork. After trying to explain why they were late the staff was condescending, rude, and refused to see them. I was originally part of scheduling the appointment so I tried to call and speak with the office manager on their behalf. The office manager was not available so I spoke with the billing manager instead. Both she and the scheduler refused to listen to me, interrupted me when I tried to share our side of the story and then my Mom and sister could hear them complaining about how "they had the sister call" and "it is just one excuse after another with them." It is never acceptable to treat people this way, and so much less acceptable in the midst of a global pandemic for a high risk patient.

Dr. Pineless was condescending and rude. He showed complete disregard for the patient’s health, well being or experience. He showed no compassion, interest or empathy and left me feeling like another Dr’s misdiagnosis was somehow my fault. I would never recommend anyone to see Dr Pineless

Dr. Pineless sent an assistant in to ask questions first. Then he shook my hand and that was the extent of his bedside manner. He basically made a diagnosis from reading reports and talking to his assistant while I was in the room. They he told me just said what he what medications he was going to prescribe. When I told him I didn't think he could access with out asking me what I was feeling, he showed his "god-complex" attitude as if you say I'm the Dr and you're just the patient. Terrible.

The doctor is good for the most part. His PA on the other hand has a very condescending tone. I don't know how many people come into their office trying to lie their way to a diagnosis but the PA was very interrogative throughout my time spent here. I'm sure some people abuse the system but for people that actually are suffering, it is not a welcoming place initially.

When I was a patient I had a great experience. I then lost my insurance (as well as my job). I told the staff this information but they still tried to charge me for the remaining money that the insurance did not cover. At this time I was a patient for quite some time. I wound up being kicked out of the practice over $25.

If you have to see a neurologist in central Florida, I could not recommend anyone but Dr. Pineless. He is warm, friendly and seems to genuinely care about you as a patient. He spoke with me for AN HOUR about my ailment and diagnosed me on my first visit. I have been struggling with nerve damage for years and the Dr. put me on a medication that has improved my pain by 70 percent. We are working on getting it to 100% The staff is friendly and caring and I cannot speak more highly of my experience.

I was in the office today. I was given a very thorough examination and both the Dr. and the p.a. listened to my complaint and offered suggestions also making a comprehernsive treatment plan. Everyone in the office was very pleasant and helpful. I feel I was very well attended and being in the medical field myself, was very satisfied with their care.

Dr. Pineless has been taking care of me for over 10 years, and this is one of the few offices in town where I know I can count on the staff to follow through, whether it's with questions to be answered, prescription refills or returning my calls. The doctor and the PA are helpful and knowledgeable, and it gives me peace of mind knowing that I can count on them.

Abandon me, an ill patient, with MG, after my refusal of a procedure he recommended. Also refused to cover me after being on a three plus week medical leave, after saying, and I quote I'm in no hurry to return you to work, in your condition REALLY??? His office manager Edie , is pure evil, and the staff totally incompetent, regarding most any patient matters. I'm an older retiree, unfortunately, with much experience with doctors, in my life. This is by far the worst medical experience.

The doctor did not listen to my concerns at ALL. He did not address the reason I was in the office. He told me that I was wrong numerous times. After this, it was 3 calls to his office and a month later my prescription still has not been refilled correctly. The office staff is horrible and condescending. I would not recommend this practice to ANYONE. This lights in the office are not conducive to those with migraines, nor are the air freshers.

I have met with Dr. Pineless 2 times. He was analytical about my symptoms taking time to evaluate them. And he put a plan together so we could eliminate causes. Dr. Pineless is focused & serious. I appreciate this in a doctor! He also took time to explain test results, get my input, & give me his professional opinion.
