An excellent doctor!
I went to visit Dr. Bedair for a 2nd opinion on an issue with my hip. He was able to utilize my existing MRIs and Xrays without insisting on more and listened carefully to my medical history with my hip. I found him to be very knowledgeable and an excellent diagnostician in giving me useful advice on what the best options might be for my current state. I am now thinking about what direction to go. If I decide to move forward with a treatment option he is the only one I will consider having to do the procedure.

Do NOT have surgery with Dr.Bedair
He operated on my knee two years ago leaving me with paralyzing pain. My leg started to curve and I was unable to walk. Went to another surgeon and on X-ray there was needle like particles which was basically metal pieces broken off and scattered all over my knee area like needles. My connective tissues were destroyed during the surgery. Had to do extensive and painful revision surgery to fix what he destroyed. Stay away from him. Do not risk your health.

One of the finest In Boston
Dr. Bedair is very polite and soft spoken, very knowledgable and confident. He replaced both of my knees and so far my recovery with the second has been going very well without complications. The first knee replacement done in 2020 could not have been more perfect and I have a higher than average risk profile. I chose wisely.

Not the best ortho!
I've had 2 hip replacements with Hany Bedair based off two fave docs recommending him. Well, the 1st wasn't too bad but the second was a nightmare. I could go into every tiny detail but the long and the short of it is, Dr. Bedair doesn't do the surgery himself. When left with paralyzing pain (now over 2 years) due to sciatic involvement from the surgery which never existed before, I asked the man point blank, did you do the surgery and were you even in the room knowing these are teaching hospitals and he said in his own words, "I'm close by if needed"...Not good enough. Bedair kept telling me it was my back causing the pain and after multiple tests including seeing the 2 docs who recommended Bedair, my back was perfectly fine. Having an EMG muscle test due to foot neuropathy that happened post surgery, the neurologist said it was 100% from the surgery. I understand complications happen so if they do, support the patient instead of sitting with arms and legs crossed & shut down tight.

First visit
My first visit I only saw him for 4 minutes. He never explained any thing to me just said you need surgery. His NP asked the questions and looked at my knee. I got billed less then a month later. Going to MGH paying high price I want my doctor to examine me and explain the procedure no a nurse practitioner. Would not recommend him to anyone.

Having arthroscopic knee surgery approx 18 years ago the pain in my knee was coming back at an even greater level now at 65. I decided to have knee replacement surgery and wish I had done it 5 years earlier. It's been one year since having the replacement and I don't think about my knee at all. I am back to doing everything I like, hiking, skiing etc with no issues at all. Many thanks to Dr Bedai and the entire team at the Kaplan Joint Center as they are always very caring and professional.

Dr Bedair was recommended to me by a friend who had his hip replaced by him at Newton Wellesley. After hearing all the good things he had to say about his experience I decided to see Dr Bedair.I was 60 yrs old and had never been in the hospital so I was a little apprehensive. After meeting with Dr Bedair and the team at Kaplan joint center I was all in.I can't say enough good things about my experience with Dr Bedair and Newton Wellesley hospital. I would highly recommend him.

I had total knee replacement after 15 yrs of pain and procrastination due to fear of surgery. procedure with spinal anesthesia went very well and had only minimal to mild moderate pain after surgery. Physical therapy was fairly easy too. Biggest problem is time as there is a lot of rehab after. Had an excellent experience with Dr Bedair and NW Hospital in Ma. The whole experience was very easy. No complaints at all.
