Was inconsiderate of my c-section. I was suppose to see her one morning in the hospital. I was not checked on until 2pm that day. I constantly asked the nurse where my doctor was. I asked for cough medicine several times and she forgot to prescribe it to me until 2pm. A cough right after a c section is EXTREMLY painful and I don’t believe I received adequate care I was told I’d be able to stay in the hospital for 4 days from my previous doctors and she discharged me on day 3. She discharged me and couldn’t even come tell me face to face. She knew I was upset And even said, “write a bad review” when discharging from Kaiser. She was inconsiderate of my emergency c section, postpartum, and baby being in the NICU. There’s a way to talk to people and she did not handle the situation with empathy.

Dr. Poya is wonderful! I suffered for two years with spotting and saw multiple doctors. Finally she did a biopsy of my uterus and found out it was a polyp, which apparently is really rare at my age. She did a hysteroscopy (while I was awake mind you!), and I felt no pain at all! Finally, the spotting stopped. I am so thankful I found her.

I saw Dr. Poya during the second half of my pregnancy, after the midwife transferred my care because I had high blood pressure. I felt really comfortable with her. My big concern was she does not come for the delivery herself if she is not on call, but apparently this is the way "their system" is. It was disappointing to have a random person delivery my baby, but in the end I had a healthy baby boy so I was grateful.

She delivered my daughter emergency c-section April 28, 2016. I had a placenta abruption. She was so kind and reassuring. Was very attentive. My little girl was delivered safely. I'm so grateful to her for being so caring in the recovery room as well.

I had seen 2 other doctors before her at that same Kaiser that I didn't like as much. Dr. Poya was alot easier to talk to, sometimes the wait is long but you can tell she tries to be on time.
