I had a good experience with Dr. Brown up until my surgery, but afterward there was a big drop-off in the level of her interest. She also got defensive when I tried to discuss recurring pain I was feeling after the surgery, which wasn't helpful in addressing the problem. Would not recommend her to family and friends.

Saw Dr. B once 'cuz my regular orthopedic foot surgeon was out of town for 3 wks, & Dr. Rosen doesn't treat ankle injuries & podiatrist has left, so they suggested me to see her! She was the most knowledge-less doctor I've ever met, 1st I was sent for x-rays, then waited for over 45min in the room b/4 Dr. B came in to read the images. She spent 30min moving her lips talking about everything but my injured ankle & then sent me home w/ no answers! I don't even think she knew how to read x-rays!!

I've had much better experiences and less headaches at other doctor's offices. My suggestion would be to go anywhere else to find a different orthopedic surgeon office before coming here.

Do not go to Dr. Brown. Her office staff is inconsiderate and provided incorrect information before booking me as a patient, and then after assuring me the only charge was the co-pay they sent me a $600 dollar bill. When I called to rectify the situation, she refused to answer or return my calls. Beyond that she was unable to fix the problem that brought me to her office in the first place. I'm sure there are other, more professional foot doctors in the area that I wish I had visited.

I had pilon (ankle) surgery at UVA and transferred my records to Dr. Brown when I came home to NYC. She was incredibly knowledgeable about my injury and the long, intense recovery process. I was in denial about how long I wouldn't be able to walk, but Dr. Brown delivered the tough love with delicate care and encouragement. She brainstormed ways for me to be more mobile and prescribed ample physical therapy. I'm 100% back to normal thanks to her care! And the front desk staff is fantastic!
