Dr. Hemamalini Pilla, MD

Dr.Pilla is the absolute BEST !! I know God placed her in my life because I randomly choose her because of my insurance.I was having pain in my abdomen and the minute she saw me she told me you are going to have surgery! She knows her stuff ,she immediately had me sent for bloodwork, ultrasound etc within a week I found out I had a mass growing on my ovaries ,non cancerous thank God ! My surgery for a hysterectomy plus removal is the mass(6.5 lbs) was within that month and went so smooth ! She really cares about her patients her and her staff are incredible! I am 2 weeks out from my surgery and I feel like a new woman ! She is stuck with me now !! Thank you Dr.Pilla for being a rockstar of a Dr !!

I've been a patient of Dr. Pilla for over ten years, and she is hands down the best doctor I've ever had. She delivered both of my children and has always been incredibly caring, compassionate, and attentive. During my pregnancy with my second child, she literally saved my life. I suffered a collapsed lung, and no one else would offer help until Dr. Pilla personally admitted me and arranged for a pulmonologist to see me. If she hadn't acted when she did, neither my son nor I would be here today. She's always so warm, and I trust her completely. I would follow her anywhere!

Dr. Pilla was great with my Daughters first visit. I have had nothing but problems with the staff. The front desk receptionist was rude. She talked to me like I was a child. Another problem is having someone call me back in reference to a prescription that was never turned in for birth control. It has been over a month and I have not yet received a phone call from the nurse or the staff. I left work early on a Friday to go into the office to talk to an actual person and get to the bottom of this and they were closed. If I could rate this place a zero I would! This is the worst experience that I have ever had. Keep in mind that I have excellent insurance and I did not have to pick this Dr. I wish I would have read the reviews and taken the girls somewhere else. Horrible experience!!! They need to get rid of the staff and hire people that actually do their work and love what they do.

I have been a patient of Dr. Pilla's for well over 18 years now and I am so grateful I found her all those years ago. Her attention to her patients is above and beyond and she truly cares and listens. Visits are never rushed and she is extremely thorough in her exams and care. I can't recommend her enough.

Dr. pilla is an amazing and very knowledgeable person. I am so grateful to have her as my doctor. She respects and listens to her patients. She explains everything very well, always ready to answer all of your questions about your health. I recently had an hysterectomy, prior to the surgery Dr. Pilla brought me back to her office to explain everything again. I am so happy the surgery was a success and I'm doing well. Dr Pilla is wonderful. She fully explained what was going on with me and explained the surgery I needed. She brought me back to the office prior to surgery to make sure I understood what would be happening during surgery and to answer all the questions I had about my condition and the surgery. Her calm demeanor, knowledge and experience helped to ally my fears. I believe Dr. Pilla is the best gynecologist in the Bay Area and would highly recommend her.

She made sure to go above and beyond to show that she really cares for her patients, she always made sure to explain everything well.

I’ve been with Dr. Pilla for 10 years, she’s delivered my 3 babies, and I can’t say enough good things about her. She’s matter of fact and extremely knowledgeable. She always puts her patients first which I appreciate. For every baby, she’s been in the room checking on me multiple times and she’s always arrived before delivery time to make sure I’m comfortable and myself and baby are responding well. She coached me through all deliveries, encouraged me, and I’ve always felt safe with her. I knew Dr. Pilla would take care of me and my babies. She remembers me at every appointment, even regular well women visits when I haven’t seen her for a year. She truly is a spectacular doctor.

My Sister recommended Dr. Pilla to me when I moved to Houston. I have been her patient for a decade, as have my other Sister, Daughter in Love, and Nieces. Dr. Pilla is patient, kind, caring, compassionate, and above all a great doctor. She is very knowledgeable about her field and will give you all the information you need to make a decision regarding your care. I recommend Dr. Pilla, I trust her with my body and my life.

If I could rate Dr. Pilla 10 stars, I would. She is amazing, so compassionate, understanding, and caring. She acknowledged all my concerns and provided me with exceptional treatment. I’m so grateful I found Dr. Pills. It was the best decision I made and I would highly recommend friends and family.

The doctor herself was great and amazing. I love how she explained everything and the options and so was the assistant in the back. My only issue is the front desk lady when I was asking questions about a product cost. I see this a lot nowadays she was turned sideways didn’t look at me and stated we will have to call. It’s not what you say it’s how you say it. However I would love to keep going to see this doctor bc I love her direct responses and how she gave the pros and cons of each option. Just the attitude of the front desk woman sours the visit. Patients should feel like their questions and concerns matter and that any question or concerns requires full attention and care just by how we respond by body language and how we speak to the patients based on their concerns. And it’s sad bc the medical field is so watered down with so much people working with attitude. As I say this I’m checking myself bc I learned something when speaking to any patient forward facing means a lot.

My wife and I recently had the privilege of having Dr. Hemamalini Pilla as our OBGYN for the births of both of our sons, and we couldn't be more pleased with the exceptional care and expertise provided by Dr. Hemamalini Pilla throughout both pregnancies and deliveries.During the labor and delivery of both our sons, her expertise was evident. Their calm and reassuring presence was invaluable during what can be an intense and emotional experience. She skillfully guided us through the process, making sure both births proceeded smoothly and safely.

Dr. Pilla is an outstanding doctor. She has the skills and knowledge for your concerns. Dr. Pilla took the precautions to be sure my hysterectomy, but leaving my ovaries, would better me, and not harm me. Itsnot just a practice to her- she is devoted and passionate about her craft. Go see her!

Dr. Pilla and her team were absolutely amazing. Her years of experience and ability to connect with her patients is quite comforting when having to make difficult decisions pertaining to your health. I had delayed following up on symptoms I had been experiencing due to the haste of life but scheduled an appointment before the new year. Dr. Pilla was able to assess what was going on, answered all questions, and provided different treatment plans carefully considering my medical history. Due to the nature of my condition, Dr. Pilla ultimately performed a robotic hysterectomy with an oophorectomy. The surgery and recovery went well. Dr. Pilla and her team continued to have awesome bedside manners the day of my procedure and thereafter. I wish I would have discovered her earlier for my gynecological health but am pleased to have met her during this season of my life. Dr. Pilla is pleasant, professional, and passionate about her work. I would recommend her with ease!

I met Dr. Pilla in 2017. I told her in our very first visit that I couldn’t have kids, her response to me was “ trust me, yes you can”. Now here we are in 2024 and 4 pregnancies later, I have to admit she was right. Dr. Pilla has amazing bed side manner, very polite and professional, kind and great at what she does. I would recommend her a million times.

Dr Pilla is super talented and experienced with close to 40 years of experience, she made delivery effortless. For my pregnancy she made me feel I was in safe hands, she gave me all the info I needed and guide me through every step of the way and was there with me till the last day. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Pilla, is an amazing doctor who i am forever indebted to!!!!! She has helped me close an emotionally and mentally draining chapter of my life I have a genetic disease called Mitochondrial Disease and for over 10 years, I’ve wanted to have a bilateral salpingectomy but it just never worked out there was always a question of medical complications with my disease and insurance coverage. When i went to see her for the first time and I explained my reasons to undergo sterilization she was unequivocally supportive of my decision she felt I was making the right decision considering my complex medical situation, and my desire to protect my children (who I realize don’t exist), but I still want to protect them from a disease that has caused me a tremendous amount of agony and she wanted to help me and she did. the surgery went great there were no complications my recovery has been a breeze. she made sure things with Insurance were good too. She’s a blessing to me I highly recommend her!!!

Dr. Pilla and her staff are exceptional. They made sure that my husband and I were knowledgeable about the surgery that was required. We are blessed that Dr. Pilla was able to be the physician performing my complex surgery where she used robotics.
