Hard sell
The Oceanside office is just a sales outlet for a spine stimulator. First words out of the nurse practitioners mouth were “I just want you to know I’m not going to prescribe you any pain meds today. It will be several months before I prescribe anything for you if at all“. She went on to explain The nerve stimulator. She wasn’t interested in what I was currently using. She said she didn’t have my history from my original pain management doctor but in fact it was faxed over and confirmed. There was not one piece of sales Information other than this particular implant. Information on the walls were laminated and there was a whiteboard in the front office where the company name was hand written. The whole thing was quite bizarre. Meanwhile my current pain management Doctor who is closing down her practice tells me there’s a lot of money to be made selling these Implants.If you want to be “cared for“ by an actual Doctor who is interested in the nature of your pain etc., keep looking!
